What Guests Say About Their Stay

Do not let the 2-star rating fool you. While the physical property is basic, the hospitality here is absolutely 5-star. The staff treated us like family, went out of their way to help with every request, and kept everything incredibly clean. If you value great service and human connection over luxury amenities, this place is a hidden gem. Safe, clean, and central place to sleep. The location is unbeatable for the price. Its a small business owned and operated by Priyanka and Family she took the time to know me and was happy to accommodate our needs. Hope to see you soon. 😊

Just stayed for a quick over night, it was relatively clean, the room was actually quite warm which was nice, bed and pillows was comfy

I was traveling from the lower mainland to central Alberta and needed to stop part way as it was too long to drive while I was recovering from a surgery. The service was amazing as they helped unload my luggage from my car upon arrival and reload the next morning due to my recovery conditions. Highly recommend

I get it! I did barely pay $150 a night because I needed a close commute and would be out for the day mostly anyways. But I would expect at least clean basics. The head boards were sticky and dirty, the wall had dripping marks everywhere. The bathroom was wiped, not cleaned, floors are broomed not vacuumed, repairs are very questionable and more coverups than anything. You can't open windows except that tiny one above the door, the AC is outdated, voraciously loud and I am assuming that filters are not changed often, drapes at windows are ripped, one bad had a dated duvet, the other a stained blanket, I was not sure the sheets were actually changed on one bed due to the way the wrinkles showed... Had to buy disinfecting wipes to make us feel a bit better. This Inn would have potential if it covered the basics instead of the fancy car parked daily in front of manager's office... Consider yourselves warned.

This place is terrible. We were there on a Friday and Saturday night as the whole town was booked up for sporting events. They jacked their rates up like everyone else but the main issue is cleanliness and handling common sense customer care. This one grossed us out. The rooms were not clean but worst of all the toilet wouldn’t flush and asked for a plunger. 4 calls down and some guy comes up with a plunger with it in a plastic bag. It’s gross. No lie I have pictures clear bag, hands it to wife at the door and she is in shock. Remember the bag, no elastic holding it, inside bag is urine, Dessie’s from prior use. I can not lie. Wife comes from door holding this and I am oh my, you have to be kidding me. . Needless to say I went to the desk in lobby and expressed my disgust. Handed this back to the lady behind the desk with minimal discomfort on her end. I will never recommend this filthy place to anyone.

The room was okay. Standard. Couple beds. A fridge. A TV. There was blood on one of the towels, which was a turn off. I messaged the front desk on the Expedia app about getting a late check out. Got a knock on our door at 11am, 'are you leaving soon?'. So don't expect a reply if you use the app. The room was clean enough. But for $240, I definitely expected more. They need garbage AND a recycling. Hope they sort thru the garbage after-the-fact. I wouldn't stay again. The best thing about this place was Kristen's Hideout - the restaurant on the premises. I don't think they're affiliated. Good food.

This property was originally built, I would say in the 40s or 50s and has had no significant updating since that time. The bathroom has a new tub, sink and toilet however, the kitchenette cabinet was definitely original and maybe had been painted once since it was originally installed. This room was advertised as a kitchenette however, it had only two plates, which were dirty, two spoons and one knife, which were also dirty and one pot that no one should ever use for cooking. The handle for the fridge was in a cupboard under the sink. When we arrived, the TV didn’t work and it took two people and half a dozen Cable boxes before we were able to use our TV which still didn’t work properly and the remote didn’t work at all. All the flat surfaces were covered in dust, paint was peeling off the wall, paint splatters all over the floor from lack of care in the job being done. The bedroom had a window mounted AC however, the cord couldn’t reach the outlet - we needed to get an extension cord ! The one positive note is that the bed linens were clean and the mattress was very comfortable, thank God! It’s my opinion in reading the other negative reviews that the owners/management are not concerned at all by these negative reviews as Kamloops is ‘Canada‘s Tournament Capital’ and they know full well that when all the other rooms book up in the city, their rooms too will be needed, which is why we ended up staying there. Do your level best to not stay in this facility.

I’ve stayed in a lot of crappy motels around the world, and this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The room was not ready, the toilet seat was broken, there were ants all over the floor, and there was a boys’ soccer team stomping around in the room above us the entire night. The staff asked them to be quiet, but they didn’t listen, and there was no attempt made to talk to the chaperones. I asked for a discount the next morning after getting no sleep and was denied. It is the worst 250 bucks I’ve ever spent. Do not stay here!
