Spacious and well equipped rooms. Breakfast at Elm was plentiful and tasty. Only criticism I would make is getting out of the parking garage took a long time.

When checking in, a $150 deposit was added to my credit card . I was told it would be returned on checkout. I checked out over 12 hours ago and the $150 has not been returned. When checking out, I inquired about how to get to the parking garage to get my car. I got my car only to find out Yonge street and Gerrard street which the hotel is on were closed for a running race. I thought the person on the front desk could have made me aware of that. I had a really difficult time picking my wife up at the hotel.

We used to stay at the Chelsea all the time. We loved it. The renovations make the lobby very
dark and it seems as if it was designed by someone who is used to very choppy design and the lobby feels as if you’re under ground now. Natural light used to poor into the lobby when the entrance was on Gerard st. The Reno has blocked all the natural light and the lobby doesn’t feel like it was designed for Canada. It used to have a big, naturally lit restaurant. But now it has a smaller restaurant that is very dark and uncomfortably dark and feels like you’re in a cave.
The tv didn’t work at all so we called front desk. They said they would send a maitenence man up because we were hoping to watch a movie while we were all in bed, but we got tired waiting. We called down to the front desk and cancelled the maintenance call at 11pm as we got too tired waiting and decided to just go to sleep. But just as we had gotten into bed there was a knock at the door - he came even though we cancelled. We were already in bed so we told him
