The location was clean and offered good space and overall service. Food at it's main restaurant was good quality and tasty. The gym and the pool were large and great to have. Staff was very helpful downstairs. This being said, the property has aged significantly since my last stay and is showing significant wear. It is currently under construction as some parts are being renovated which is unfortunate because one of the reasons we booked there despite its high prices were the services like the additional restaurants and a child play area on the 26th floor which were blocked off. Rooms were very clean but carpets felt like it had fleas until we asked to have a worker vacuum it which seemed to remedy the issue. Also no microwaves in rooms due to what they claimed was fire risk and none downstairs to use for guests. We also didn't like that we parked in their lot and upon checking in, they springed the fact that we would have to pay over 100 dollars for parking! Ridiculous. If there was another option nearby I wouldn't have paid but unfortunately we did and then taking advantage of this fact to squeeze more money out of customers who are already overpaying left a bad taste. Outside of that it was family friendly and pleasant despite these flaws but if given the option, I'd look elsewhere and find the same or better for much less price and not feel taken advantage of.

The hotel does not accept credit cards without a chip. Or at least they told me they did not. I had a prepaid Visa from my conference organizers and I was going to put that towards paying for the hotel. However, because the hotel interact machine could only take a card with a chip and mine didn't have one, I had to put it on my own credit card. This completely messed up the budget for me, because the entire point of my trip was to go to Toronto for a conference and have my accomodations covered by the organizers. I cannot get reimbursement since they already technically gave me a card for this purpose. I found this completely ridiculous as a practice not to take a card that could slide and not to have other options available.

definitely not worth the $300 I paid for the room. Heater barely works. Balcony is filthy with bird poo (it clearly had not been cleaned in a while). The hallways smell the cigarettes. The room would smell like cigarettes every time I turned the heat on. Generally not worth the price.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean, room was nice well appointed. The only complaint was the room was hot, and very dry. Had to sleep with the patio door open to allow cooler air in to balance out the temperature. Thermostat was more of a decoration, then functional! Would still definitely recommend!
