We had such an incredible March Break stay at the Chelsea Hotel Toronto, it truly exceeded our expectations, especially as a family travelling with kids! From the moment we arrived, there was so much for the kids to do. The highlight was hands-down the epic waterslide that winds through the air and drops right into a perfectly heated pool, our kids must have gone down it a hundred times! The hotel really leans into family fun with their dedicated kids zone, including a games room, crafting area, and the “Kid Centre” which was packed with activities. For March Break, they went above and beyond, movies, a bouncy castle, animal shows, board games… it honestly felt like a full experience, not just a hotel stay. We also loved the convenience of the on-site restaurant. The family meal deal was such great value (around $79 dinner for four) and easily fed our whole family with leftovers, which is rare when travelling! The location is another huge win. We were able to explore Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, spend time at The Rec Room Toronto for games and lunch, and finish the day exploring the Royal Ontario Museum, all within easy reach. Overall, this was the perfect mix of fun, convenience, and value. If you’re travelling with kids and want somewhere that keeps them entertained while still being comfortable for adults, this is absolutely the place. We’ll definitely be back!

The room required better overall maintenance: visible fingerprints fridge exterior. Dusty lampshades and dirty interior garbage bins. Staff was exceptional (especially younger staff with kids -Miranda). The Hive playspace felt crowded. Kids activities could be better spaced out throughout the hotel to mitigate crowdedness/chaos. Also, I love a good pet show, the ratio of pets to people felt irresponsible. The animals were visibly distressed (parrot squaking/ smaller animals defecating and burrowing); there were way too many excited and anxious kids in the space for the animals. I would consider how to manage this better, perhaps by offering multiple shows with much smaller capacity at a time. Overall, we had a wonderful time! A little gem :)

Overall a very nice option for the price. The staff was friendly, our rooms were cleaned each morning and we liked how the had parking, pool, and a gym. The only we would not recommend is the buffet breakfast, it was not worth it for the price. There is a few coffee shops in walking distance I’d recommend going to instead, but still the option is nice.
