Mercure Surabaya Grand Mirama

The front desk staff was unfriendly, and this affected not only me but also other colleagues. This could be improved. There were several cockroaches in the room, so it wasn't clean.

great location and food

After staying at this hotel in September and October 2025, I didn't receive a positive response from the staff. Every staycation, I always stayed for two days, Friday through Sunday. I complained to the receptionist about the chiller not cooling in my room between September and October 2025, and all I received was a response of "Yes, sir. We will send a technician to check it." From Saturday morning until Sunday when I checked out, the technician still hadn't arrived, so I had to throw away several bottles of cappuccino because the chiller wasn't cooling. I received the same response during my staycation in September and October 2025. It was quite disappointing. I hope things will improve in the future. The breakfast was quite varied and delicious.

I stayed here on a Friday-Sunday, coinciding with a wedding at the hotel, and the rooms next to mine were occupied by the family of the wedding couple. First, they were incredibly noisy. It was as if they had never been to a hotel before. On the first day, they were already noisy, playing with the door. Their door was wedged to make it easier to visit between rooms. But what was strange was, when they wanted to close the door, it couldn't be closed slowly, resulting in the neighboring rooms being disturbed by the "dak duk dak duk" sound. When they opened the door, they left it loose, so the door was left staring at the wedge loudly, especially since a Mercure hotel doesn't have a door closer. This continued until Sunday afternoon when they checked out. On Saturday night, when they finished attending the wedding, they were so noisy that they even went until 11 p.m. I couldn't sleep. Not to mention the screaming, the sound of a baby crying, and loud laughter. Because I couldn't stand it, I called the receptionist, and they were still so noisy. Whether the receptionist actually reprimanded me or not, I don't know. What's clear is that they're still noisy. I'm sure this will be my last time sleeping at the Mercure Grand Mirama Hotel in Surabaya. When I go to Jakarta, I always stay at Mercure hotels and even stayed for a week because it was so comfortable. I've also stayed at Mercure Manyar in Surabaya and it was much more comfortable and quiet than this Mercure Mirama. Come on, Mercure, I'm your loyal customer, so why am I switching to Alana Hotel? Now Alana Hotel has much better service and rooms than you. I hope that with this criticism and suggestions, Mercure Hotel Grand Mirama can improve and be even better.

good, close to the city center and easy access everywhere

It was really fun to stay there, the ambiance is classic and modern, the rooms are also instagrammable, basically it's one of the super cool and affordable hotels in SBY.

I stayed in a privilege twin room, the room was spacious, clean, comfortable for resting after a day of activities.. unfortunately I didn't have time to swim because of the maintenance and cleaning of the swimming pool.. The breakfast was also delicious.. recommended for a family vacation..

This time it was not wrong to choose to staycation in Surabaya, the lobby atmosphere is very comfortable, welcomed by a friendly front office. And the best part is being chosen as the guest of the day. Got mirror plating and a cake that tastes really good. The room is quite spacious, comfortable AC and wifi that has no problems. The bathroom is also very clean. During breakfast, the employees are very friendly and helpful. There are many variations of food from western to traditional, even market snacks are available. I stayed for 2 nights. The first night there was work in the warehouse, right next to my room. Starting from 22:00 to 24:00. We reported it to the receptionist 4 times. We reported it in the morning because it was very disturbing, the sound was very noisy. They promised to fix it, but it turned out that the second night it started again. It was very disturbing, especially since my plane was in the morning and check out was at 5 am. We couldn't rest. Please pay attention to this. The hotel's solution was to tell us to move rooms in the middle of the night. Why not this morning if there was still work, in my opinion the Mercure Grand Mirama is terrible.

starting from security, receptionists, cleaning service staff, restaurant staff, all are friendly and helpful. this hotel feels like you stay in your area, warm and comfortable. the breakfast menu is varied and all delicious. especially the cakes and pastries section is very yummy. the highlight of our stay was the kids corner, didn't expect a hotel to pay attention to this much detail regarding facilities. yep, I would love to recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for a place to stay in Surabaya. have not many photos cz we were really enjoy our time until we didn't have time to hold our phones ❤️

Service in the restaurant was late. Taking too much time, need to be focused as utensils were not given when food was served.
