In my experience staying at 5-star hotels, Tugu Malang is probably one of the best. The entire building's architecture, ornaments, furniture, paintings, and statues create a sense of comfort that's hard to describe.
The restaurant is also top-notch, allowing you to choose any combination of dishes from the menu, while still offering a mini-portion buffet. This is certainly good for the environment and reduces food waste without sacrificing guest satisfaction.
The hospitality and service from the entire staff are also excellent.

I feel so lucky to get this place hehe highly recommend for those who want to go to Batu, visit the Museum Angkut/Jatim Park, the location is close. The atmosphere is cool, the room is big, the bed is big, the bathroom is also spacious 👍🏽 the staff are friendly and very helpful. For breakfast, it's standard, it's still okay. Excellent!! I stayed there for 3 days for work.
The cleanliness of the bedroom, bathroom, and the entire hotel was excellent.
The staff and security were friendly.
Oh, and what I really liked was the free refillable water dispenser (cold and hot) in the hallway (in front of the elevator), so drinking water was safe.

Best Western De Papilio
I was in need of a space to work through a few meetings nonstop. Looked online to find a hotel that provides a decent table and chair to put my laptop and some papers within a reasonable price. Booked a room here. To my surprise, the internet connection was AWESOME. Four, almost five full hours on Zoom, and not a single glitch. Way to go!
