Priority Points earning and spending behavior

Earning

Priority Points are a label for points collected from non-coupon spending, not as an addition to existing granted points after any eligible transactions.

Spending

Priority Points have different spending behavior to non-priority Points. When a user redeemed Points, it will consume non-Priority Points before the Priority ones.

Expiration

Priority Points shall not have a difference in terms of an expiration with the normal points earned from the transaction. However, considering that this mechanism incentivizing user to maintain the balance, a 1 month grace period shall be given to this user to redeem the points accordingly.

a. Scenario: In July, a user has 230,000 Points (200,000 Priority, 30,000 non Priority). 50,000 Priority Points will be expired by end of July, the rest of her 150,000 Priority Points will be by end of December. In August, she will still maintain 230,000 Points (150,000 Priority, 80,000 non Priority). In this case, the expiring 50,000 Priority Points shall be converted to 50,000 Non Priority Points with 1 month expiration date. This so that the user can still redeem it should she choose to do so.
