DEPOSIT REQUIRED ON ARRIVAL!!!
Deposit taken on arrival for more than the booking amount which seemed crazy. The staff didn’t take our card details so refund has not been made approx. 4 days after checkout. We have had to chase them to issue this refund!!
Room was a good size but was showing its age, could do with a refurb. Kitchen utensils ok but old, provided on sachet of washing up liquid for 2 nights.
Parking is hard to get!! I called ahead before booking and was advised there is plenty of free on street parking outside, this is true but it is restricted to 3hrs, not great if you want to be out all day as you will be back to the room many times to move your car….
Washing machine available outside the room which was very useful :).
It is a cheap room and needs renovation. If you’re happy to make do while you stay it’s ok but likely to find better options in the area.

The location was excellent . Close to shopping centre , close to casino , beach, pacific fair restaurants and the tram . Can’t get a better location .
Bed was comfortable and room was spacious .
Only thing I can say is the room is in desperate need of restoration.
In saying that it was appropriately priced .
Also I believe they do have renovated rooms listed .in didn't see so I can’t review that.

A few small “basic” improvements could make all the difference to this place . First of all the room we stayed in needed maintenance. The walls need painting , the carpet was loose , threadbare in areas and a trip hazard in others . The toilet roll holder in the bathroom kept falling off the wall and there needs to be more towel hooks , rails installed. The hair dryer was from overseas as it did not have an Australian plug and required an adapter which was supplied but had to be held into the power socket during use.Also the hair dryer bracket on the wall was broken and the hair dryer was found wedged between the wall and the only towel rail fitted as a means of storage ! The kitchen was poorly stocked for example no wine glasses , and in an apartment that supposedly sleeps four people there was a grand total of three , yes three coat hangers and one small two seater lounge.Also from a safety perspective the only smoke detector in the apartment looked like the cover had been glad wrapped or sticky taped to the ceiling which I’m sure would affect its ability to detect smoke !! I know it sounds a lot but seriously a handy tradesman could address these issues in a few hours . The carpet however definitely needs replacing . On a positive note the pool and spa area were fine .

Room 701 was by far the WORST hotel room I have ever stayed in.
The fridge looked like someone had punched it several times, there were 2 glasses in the cupboard that were filthy and mismatched, the lounge cover looked like something from a porn movie, the carpets were dirty, not a single lamp, “spa” was an old bath with filthy jets.
So disgraceful.

The room was dirty. The staff lady was friendly enough and we caught her mopping the floor. But the walls were dirty dust on bedside tables and lamps she telephone (that’s a person’s shedded skin of course) ants in the bed and cockroaches x 3 in one night only. Tired looking is one thing but dirty is quite another. No glasses for a glass of wine for my partner and I. Phoned up and after hours simply said sorry nothing can be done
