We chose to stay at the Sofitel Adelaide for the first time to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday, we booked a king suite with Club Millésime access. I mentioned upon booking, we had chosen to stay there for my wife's birthday, and they exceeded our expectations. The staff from Valet parking, reception, concierge and club Millésime were exceptional, friendly, professional and were happy to help with anything we needed. When we entered the room there was special birthday surprise, a bottle of bubbly on ice and a plate with a few chocolates with a Happy birthday message. The room itself was awesome, offering floor to ceiling windows with magnificent 180° views over the city, Adelaide Hills and the distant ocean. We stay in club access rooms regularly and we would highly recommend Sofitel Adelaide and club Millésime. Thankyou all for making our stay an awesome experience.

We really enjoyed our night away here at the Sofitel Adelaide. From the moment we arrived staff were there accomodating to our needs. The valet parking service was such a smooth transition while the room was charismatic. Thank you to all the staff for your exceptional hospitality, we will definitely be back again in future.

I thought the price for access to the club lounge on level 10 excessive , hence why we didn’t do it

Issue with staff having me on hold at 10.28pm until 10.31pm and then telling me we are too late to order room service. The staff member continued to tell me the website says last orders at 10.30pm and wasn’t interested when I told him the website doesn’t mention 10.30pm at all on the times listed for room service, it only says that when you click on the menu. I showed this to the concierge in the morning and he will pass it on. Otherwise it was amazing service but this person on the phone (10.28pm from room 1504) didn’t care.

Friendly and high kevel customer service at every interaction, from valet to check-in, restaurant service and check out. Not a detail left unturned. Sofitel Adelaide team have wonderful pride in what they do.

The overall stay was great and room was quite comfortable. Our issues were the pillows (that despite being comfy are hotel pillows and therefore present no support at all. I ended up with neck pain) and the mini fridge. Omg, the mini fridge did not keep drinks cold enough. The also didn't have pen or notepad in our room, maybe everything is too digital now?!
The breakfast was amazing and staff were friendly.

While most aspects of the hotel and our room were good, our main complaint was the "hotel perfume" that pervaded the lobby. Even my husband who never notices scents or smells found it to be overpowering. Very unpleasant. Also, we were surprised to find only one chair at the small table in our hotel room which seemed a little odd, with no desk. While the bed and the sheets were good, the bathroom towels were very ordinary - not soft and luxurious like I expected in a Sofitel.
