Chateau Lacombe Hotel

I can't believe we have to pay for parking ontop of the cost of the hotel, should be included also can't believe you don't have complimentary coffee, also no plug in by the bed to charge phone. Not worth the price

Front desk, amazing! Bedding comfortable. The rooms need an upgrade! Torn wallpaper, not thoroughly dusted, coffee maker not clean, towels thin and old. Breakfast buffet disappointing. Hot food not hot, but the croissants, coffee and orange juice were good.

Where it is

Area is very bad, the room was old and not vacuumed in the corners or inder the desk. We arrive at 3 and just want a drink , to scary to go outside, both restaurant and lounge are closed we were told get a drink from the pop machine abd sit in the lobby

Amazing staff.

Dared hotel but was clean and the staff and service was excellent, more than excellent. The la Ronde was pricey but good portions and very well done. We had multiple staff interactions that were impressive high quality service. Such a great experience. Only downside was the sated hotel but wouldnt stop me from staying again

Good location

My first indication that we should have went somewhere else was when the old lady with the white hair behind the front desk was rude. It just went downhill from there. If you drive a truck, you'll have to park it down the road in the parking lot. Only very small vehicles will fit in the underground parkade. Our truck is brand new and it's beyond sketchy in this area. This just added to our stress. We get up to our room- it was disappointing how worn out everything looked. No mini fridge or microwave. TV and toilet don't work. Then we have to wait for maintenance. Then we get moved to a different room- that was even more worn out. Again, no mini fridge or microwave. The only good thing was the view. We were woke up by loud neighbors at midnight. It was so bad my husband went down to speak to the front desk. He was told there was several complaints from other guests. Well- nothing was done about it. The yelling went on until 4 am. We had to drive home- 5 hours away- with absolutely no sleep. I spoke with management when we checked out and we were given a discount on our parking fees. I definitely would not recommend this place.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The property itself is dated and not very well maintained.

The room was clean, the staff were excellent to deal with. The room had of course been through renovations over the years and there were some spots within the room that made it obvious, like it had been slapped together in a hurry. Parking can be limited depending on what you drive due to the height restrictions for their underground parking.

The staff were very friendly and parking was very convenient for being downtown Edmonton.
