Courtyard by Marriott Ottawa East

The room was clean, and housekeeping did an excellent job throughout our stay. Our only issue was at check-in. I don’t remember the first front desk agent’s name, but she refused to check us in because I only had photos of my IDs on my phone. I showed her multiple forms of identification, including my passport, driver’s license, and Medicare card, but she insisted that she needed the physical copies. Because of this, I had to call Expedia to transfer the reservation to one of my friends, which took time and was incredibly frustrating. After everything was changed, we spoke to another front desk agent, who said, “I don’t even know why she wouldn’t accept your ID.” We ended up being helped without any issues, making the whole Expedia call and reservation change feel completely unnecessary. The inconsistent handling of the ID policy was disappointing and wasted a lot of our time. Aside from that, the room was clean, and the housekeeping staff was fantastic

Great hotel. Quick cab to downtown. Not a lot of close walking options for dining but easy access to downtown

Hate to say not sure if this location is accessible to what you need. We were there for convocation reception. For room - it 5 stars. Staff are so helpful and beyond. We enjoys our stay: thank you!
