Days Inn by Wyndham Barrie

Breakfast was basic, nothing special. Standard. Rooms were ok, needed better cleaning. Staff was nice, friendly and helpful. Pool was freezing.

It looks like the property is being improved from the front entrance/foyer of the hotel, but feels incomplete with the bare white walls....summarizing our experience below: Positives: - ample parking - helpful staff - hotel close to the 400 highway - cost via expedia for a king room was great value Negatives: - hot water from tap and tub initially ran copper/rust colour - it took about 10mins for the colour to fade and clear out....the shower took 15 mins to get any hot water during this process - our room had a mini fridge where the freezer froze into a block of ice and could not be opened properly due to the fridge sitting in a metal tray to catch any of the outfolow of thawing water...you had to lift up the fridge to open the door and that caused all of our food/drinks inside to tip over and cause a mess - with the above water issues...the bathroom sink/tub/curtain were water stained with the copper/rust - sink drain stopper was broken and left sitting in sink unrepaired - pictures of pool and rooms does not reflect the overall size or feel of where you are staying Overall this was for business purposes and not a huge issue. I would not recommend to a family or guests who care about the above details. The water issue was very offputting.

The room was dirty, the hot tub was being repaired, the pool smelled bad , l didn’t finish the complete time that I was booked for . The cleaning staff needs training as well as the front desk. The outside needs work . Just a really bad experience I would actually like you to warn other people before they book

The rooms need maintenance

The hotel was clean. The staff was accommodating. The walls are not soundproof. It took a long time to get hot water in the bath/shower. The gentleman in the breakfast area was very helpful. It would be nice to have a few low-fat, low-sugar items on the menu.

Filthy hotel rooms, poor service, hot tub said it’s open but it’s been down for a long time. Staff at front desk not friendly. Wouldn’t recommend this place to others unless your just there to sleep and be bored in your room

Didn't eat breakfast to many druggies hanging around tweaking out hot tub not in order. Someone else's hair between sheets in the bed. Stained bed sheets. Staff was rude. Bathroom were dirty. Water ran orange. Pool was the only somewhat okay but only 4 chairs to sit in pool area. Not very family friendly or people friendly hotel.

Booked a double queen room, got a king with pull out couch. Asked front desk to be corrected they said they would refund me and I could go else where which is not helpful since I booked this months in advance. Health unit shut down the hot tub after we arrived and saw other guests in the hot tub. Maintenance employee seemed unbothered by the situation. Rooms were held together with painters tape. Don’t waste your money - stay else where.

Great stay! Lubna at front desk was exceptional! So helpful and friendly!!!! Pool was heated but a little cloudy. Breakfast starting at 6am was a plus because we were there for a dance comp with early mornings. My daughter thought the Waffles and sausages at breakfast were delicious and the kitchen staff was also friendly and helpful. Room was clean and check in and check out were a breeze.

Breakfast was great - waffles, eggs, sausages, assortment of bagels and breads. Pool was small but good. Hot tub was out of order. Small hotel but near arena so it met our needs

Place was just okay, needs updating, security everywhere, children screaming and running through halls, flying a drone in main entrance, would probably not go back!

The staff was great. We got there well before check in because we had to work that day and they found us a room although there was a $50 early check in which the room wouldn’t be occupied all day so I don’t see the need in that. The blackout curtains didn’t work in the room we had to use a pants hanger to keep them closed and after a day of being out in Barrie our room wasn’t made up the hot tub was more of a warm tub which I don’t know if it’s just because we went there later in the night. Overall mediocre experience but great staff.

Staff was friendly, room nice and clean, location is not the greatest beside the Hwy, but that is normal for big city.
