I hate to rate this place only 3 stars as it has so much potential. Friendly staff, great location, quiet hotel. I stayed here from oct 17-21 with my husband, then switched rooms Oct 21-26 to stay with my friends. The first room we were at was the superior room. Comfy bed, clean room, but tight space. When I stayed with my friends, we had a family suite, which has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It’s listed for up to 6 people. It was just the 3 of us and I can’t imagine having more than 4 people there staying comfortably. They do have a pull couch bed, but it was extremely worn and slumped in the middle. We didn’t end up using the pull out couch bed. The space was very cute, but both hotel rooms could seriously use more mirrors to get ready in the morning. I ended up going to the pharmacy nearby and purchasing a travel mirror so I could do my makeup when the bathroom was occupied. Even though the family suite had two full bathrooms, the shower in one must have different piping system as the water was scalding, not just hot! It was impossible to shower in. I didn’t bother complaining about the shower as I had found management to not be very responsive. On our first day in the family room we noticed both tvs did not work and had no connection, as well the room phone did not work. The manager came in and said they need to get the phone company to come fix it. I reminded front desk twice again about it. By day 5 at checkout it still wasn’t fixed.

Being right in the middle of Quebec City was absolutely wonderful. The hotel was clean, cute and old world charm was everywhere. The staff was beyond kind and a special shout out to Remi at the front desk who booked reservations at restaurants for us, brought us wine glasses when I asked if he happened to have a cork screw, supplied us with disposable plates when we bought cheeses and meats at a local market. The entire weekend was an amazing experience.

We absolutely loved this hotel! The family suite was perfect for our family of five, and we really appreciated having two separate sleeping areas (one note of caution, though; the suites can only be accessed by stairs so that would present a problem for anyone who needs an elevator). We also loved the classic vibe and decor of the place. Front desk staff was super friendly, and the location cannot be beat. Right within the walls of Quebec city, you are only a five minute walk away from the citadel, and maybe seven minutes from the historic Château Frontenac and Dufferin Terrace. There were great restaurants nearby, and we loved the quaint, historic feel of the area. If we ever return to Quebec city, which I hope to do, we will definitely stay at this hotel again!

Location is excellent, within a 8-10 minute walk of where most tours (bus, walking, water) start and lots of restaurants around. The staff was friendly. The rooms and common areas were updated and clean. Would be 5 stars if it had an elevator and the climate control worked better. I would recommend
