This was a terrible stay at Executive Inn Whistler. When we checked in, there was dog hair all over the room. While booking, it clearly stated that only designated rooms are pet-friendly, so this was very disappointing. On top of that, the heater wasn’t working and the induction stove also didn’t work. We constantly had to call housekeeping to get things fixed. They dont even put washed blankets in the room. The worst part was during the night — we woke up multiple times, around 2 AM and again at 4 AM, to noises of rats in the room. None of us could sleep properly because of it. Imagine paying so much for a stay and having rats in your room eating your food. When we complained to the front desk, the staff member seemed least bothered. We waited until 8:30 AM to speak with the manager, only to be told that the manager was unavailable. Later, we received an email saying there was nothing they could do. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience.

The staff are genuinely friendly, and the hotel has a great large pool, hot tub, and sauna. Some rooms even have their own private saunas, which is such a nice bonus. I love walking into the room with relaxing music playing and the fireplace already on, it’s a really welcoming touch. They do their best to accommodate early check-in and late checkout, which I really appreciate. It may not be the fanciest hotel in Whistler, but it’s definitely one of the best. The location is a huge plus, and if you get a room with mountain views, it’s absolutely breathtaking. I’ve stayed at almost every hotel in Whistler, and I keep coming back here :)

Check in was smooth but we ended up with a strange beeping sound in our room. The maintenance people who came to help us were so nice and helpful, they really made a difference in our stay! The front desk however seemed to not be helpful once the maintenance people determined that the beeping sound was an anomaly (something left by another guest that we could not find). The front desk staff made it difficult to change our room due to only having bigger rooms available. We ended up wasting over an hour into our short stay at Whistler dealing with this. Once again the maintenance people were great and they deserve 5 stars!
