Super 8 by Wyndham Salmon Arm

The breakfast is a little bit of a joke. But all things considered, it is not a bad deal.

Not enough variety for breakfast. Getting a light bulb changed just didn’t happen even after 3 requests. Room was large and Hotel was pet friendly. Staff was pleasant.

In my original room, the light switch at the door did not work, the television did not work and the bathroom light had a horrible, loud buzz. When I told them, they moved me to a different room which was better, but the light in the bathroom was barely bright enough to see anything. I had booked a room for 2 nights, when I got back to my room for the 2nd night my key card did not work - they told me that the key cards are only made to work for one night. How can that be a thing if someone books a room for more than one night?!!

The staff's English was poor. Could not help us to operate the TV

Extremely disappointed considering that the franchise is a Super 8/Wyndham. Room was outdated, missing towels and soap, missing remote and cords to operate tv. Windows were dirty, sheets were clean but stained. Staff were friendly but would only offer a new sheet. Top bed spread was dusty. Breakfast was only toast, yogurt and fruit with coffee. Would not recommend this location.

Front desk clerk rude, acted like he didn't want to be there. Holes in walls, dirty, musty smokey smell, no remote for tv. Changed to different room, was just as bad as 1st. one. Went back to the front desk to explain that I was not happy and wanted to check out and find more suitable CLEAN place. I explained that I wanted my Visa reimbursed immediately, he then became very rude and went as far as to use the big F word. I am very easy going and just wanted a decent, clean room. I have stayed in several motels over the years but never have I ever encountered such disrespect and total indifference. I would not EVER stay at a Super 8 again, especially the one in Salon Arm.

Good value for the cost.

VERY DISGUSTED with this Wyndham property!!! No one at desk, had to phone from desk to check in. Filthy carpet & windows, Room smelled "moldy" stained towels, no hair dryer or iron, curtains hanging off track, lamps broken, ice bucket had a "bug" in it so desk clerk gave me a plastic bag for ice. VERY DARK parking lot, garbage and evidence of "drug use" on the ground. UNSAFE, big group of young guys hanging out in parking area, and noisy! Booked 2 nights, felt UNSAFE, stayed ONE NIGHT. They would NOT REFUND my credit card for the 2nd night!! I would NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN and I am telling everyone about my horrible experience there!

I liked the location of this property. I waited 30 min to check in in the middle of a construction area with out access to bathroom facilities No proper towels, no proper temp control in room except to turn it off.

The whole property was dirty and smelly. Body odour and strong cheap perfume in lobby, our first room had been smoked in, second room had something disgusting sprayed over the TV and mirror (I actually asked for cleaning products and tried to clean it myself-unsuccessfully), the bedspread had something disgusting on it (we took it off - thankfully the sheets were clean or we’d have been outta there!). Even the towels were stained. Gross! The lobby window at the front desk was dirty, the ice machine had disgusting fingerprints and I don’t know what else all over it. Compelled to check out the breakfast room at this point, the fridge was dirty inside, the tables were dirty and the coffeepot filter hadn't been cleaned (this was in the evening.) Three ladies were in the lobby on my third entry (this time it was to ask for clean towels). They asked for two rooms, looked around and decided to go elsewhere after one lady received a text from her sister telling her it was dirty and I confirmed it. We were too tired to book something else. I shared our experience with the daytime manager who seemed interested. I told her I wouldn’t post my review when she said someone would call. We never got a call so I feel I do need to share my experience. Will never stay there again.

Beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean but They REALLY need in invest in some renos. It is so dated. The curtain was falling down, there were stains on the chairs and carpet. They put zero effort into continental breakfast. Toast and mini yogurt is what they offer. They don't bother to even replenish the peanut butter or jam. They really shouldn't even bother with offering anything it was such a joke. I would not stay there again or recommend.

The hotel was undergoing renovations. Luckily we got one of the rooms that had been renovated. I heard from other families that their room was not very good. Breakfast was supposed to be included in the price. There was no breakfast. There was pieces of toast, jam, and yogurt. That's it. The coffee was very thin. Staff was not always available at the front desk. Patrons frequently had to wait to be served.

Great area. Very basic hotel. A few things renovated like carpet. Bed was on the floor, pillows were horrible. Don't forget your toiletries because you will not be given much. Also bring your ear plugs, because you can here everything from outside and from other rooms. Also continental breakfast starts at 7:30, and is gone by 8:15. I would not stay again .

Our room was very dirty with a hole in the wall. There was stuff smeared all over the mirror snd T.V in the living area. The bathroom had hair in the tub. There was no area to keep multiple tolitery bags. There was no remote for the T.V. had asked mulitple times for one. When one was given, it did not turn the tv on. Ice machine was broken. Complimentary breakfast was a few apples and few yougarts. Heard from other guests that the coffee was cold and was the previous days coffee.

The lady who was on the front desk this morning at check out was very unfriendly. Being woken up by garbage cans being emptied at 5 am was not great!
