Very comfortable, tastefully decorated room, appreciated the fully working air con. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Service great on check in and in the restaurant also. Highly recommended.

I was very impressed with the accessibility of the room! I am experiencing some difficulty with walking at the moment and the room was very uncomfortable and well appointed.
The only improvement I could think of would be a covered walkway to the new building, where my room was (juggling an umbrella, case and walking stick was impossible - so I just got wet!)
All the staff were friendly, especially the young man in reception when I arrived and the lady in the morning when I was leaving!

Beautiful hotel with a great breakfast. We stayed after the slamdunk festival.
No issues with late check in, lots of parking, very clean, comfortable and quiet room.
Sorted out an issue with Expedia not sending through confirmation I’d paid with them promptly and without fuss.
Highly recommended, will definitely book for SlamDunk 2027.

This hotel is basically student accommodation, running and shouting down the hall ways around midnight. Eventually moved room after initially being told hotel was full to then be told "my bad" we have another room.

A gem in Hatfield. A beautiful art deco building and the rooms are decorated in a fitting style. Large room, beautiful bathroom, clean, quiet, plenty of parking and a bar for dinner! I’ll stay again.

We were welcomed by a lovely lady on reception. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and very comfortable. The young waitress in the restaurant was lovely! We visited for the university open day and she gave my granddaughter lots of tips on uni life at Hertfordshire. Charming young woman…. A credit to the hotel! I plan to visit my granddaughter regularly and would most definitely stay at the Comet when I do.

Stayed in the Deluxe room in the new part of the hotel. The room was very clean and spacious, including a king-size bed with very comfortable mattress. However, the pillows and duvet were bit flat and not the usual standard you’d expect in a 4 star hotel.
Bathrobes, slippers and conditioner would have been nice additional touches as well.
The staff at the reception were amazing and made us feel very welcome. Warm and easygoing, but still very respectful. True stars in their profession!
