Amazing stay at The Cumberland! Great location. Hotel is beautifully clean and well presented. Staff are super friendly and make everyone welcome. Would highly recommend the breakfast and a visit to The Sound bar where the cocktails are superb. Can’t wait to visit again, definitely my new favourite hotel.

The hotel was perfect for our stay (Theatre show and Hyde Park concert). It’s right next to the park and Marble Arch tube. It felt busy but not cramped, we got a table for breakfast in a couple of minutes. The room (deluxe king) was a reasonable size, huge bed, good shower. The lights were a bit annoying (one by the bed turned everything off and on, making a trip to the bathroom difficult). Room had a mini-fridge, iron, etc. Breakfast was a buffet but they had lots of staff and an omelette station. The whole hotel is rock and roll themed which makes it quirky. It was quite pricey for what it is, but I think £300+ a night is standard for London weekends now.

Very funky smell in the lobby. It hits you as you enter the door. While I was checking in, an irate guest stormed at the check in counter demanding some work to be done in his room. The following day our room was not cleaned when we got back. Had to repeatedly call for an hour until someone answered. Got into a discussion with a belligerent front desk because he said there were so many guests and he couldn't attend to my request. Manager called back and apologized..... something very wrong with the cleaning staff in this hotel.

Expensive for a two night. Limited seating at the bar. Room wasn’t serviced. Location great - friends room wasn’t ready and their dog was charged £100 for an overnight stay which was ridiculous. Hells Kitchen was style over substance with silly prices for what you got. Food was good and service was ok.

VIP check-in was horrific! We had a 30minute wait to check-in as only one member of staff on the counter next to normal check-in desk where there were about half a dozen members of staff checking in normal rooms. My upgraded room 'offered' prior to arrival was sold right infront of my nose to a gentleman who demanded a change of room after he'd already checked in!!! We were eventually handed our room key with no other information... I had to ask about the VIP Lounge and if our bedroom key allowed us access only to be told "if it doesn't work just come back" . After an already 30 minute wait and with the VIP lounge right next to check-in desk we tried the key before leaving the desk. Terrible service from reception! Don't be fooled into thinking that the VIP Backstage Lounge is anything special. You will be disappointed! They have changed it since last year, the VIP lounge has relocated and is too small for the amount of VIP rooms they sell and although you can get hot & soft drinks along with Beer & Wine they only serve basic snacks now like crisps, nuts & biscuits & ice-cream. Breakfast is 'light' in the form of pastry's and yogurt pots... if you're lucky enough to be there early. Things don't get refilled very often considering the amount of people that have access. The lady who was serving us worked tirelessly bless her but she was on her own all the times we went in there. The 'Executive King' did not look or feel anything special. Very disappointed stay.

The location and the rooms were great at the hotel. The biggest challenge was checking in, the queue was huge. I appreciate that there was a concert on at Hyde Park, but the hotel should have planned for that and had extra staff on hand at 3pm. The same could be said for room service in the evening.
