My first time checking in Astara for 2 nights. It was a great time we had drinking sessions at Blend Wine. Cool cafe with a variety of drinks at a reasonable price. Friendly staff Ibu Yulis and Grace.
The rooms were so clean and the AC was so chilled. For food, it's surrounded by a food paradise. Had fun in Score Sports Lounge playing golf stimulation with Pak Herman, the Manager of Score Sports Lounge. The rate for golf stimulation is so cheap, Rp250,000 per hour. I really enjoyed it.
Good service for the Astara Hotel concierge, especially Pak Adi and Aldi, who are willing to show you the nightlife spots in the BSB area. I really enjoyed my trip to Balikpapan and was very comfortable staying at the Astara Hotel Balikpapan.
Again, good service.
Finally, the hotel sent me to the Airport free of charge. Highly recommended.

Our recent hotel stay was truly enjoyable. The central location made it incredibly convenient for exploring, with many popular sights and dining options just a short walk away. The room itself was immaculately clean, spacious, and very comfortable, offering a relaxing retreat after a day of sightseeing. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the exceptional service from the staff. Every team member we encountered, from the front desk to housekeeping, was remarkably friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. We especially appreciated their local recommendations and willingness to assist with any queries. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The room is quite small for the price, the AC was not cold for a while, after complaining, a technician was immediately sent to fix it, overall the room is comfortable, easy to access, close to the mall, the breakfast menu is plentiful and delicious and includes an aquaboom

The staff is friendly, the swimming pool has lots of rides. Breakfast has a wide variety of menus. You won't regret staying at Astara Hotel Balikpapan. This hotel is so noisy, I got a room on the same floor as the restaurant, and there was a karaoke event starting at 9 PM until 11 PM. There was no notification upon check-in, no apology when I complained. The one who apologized was the one who delivered the food. Furthermore, the room is very small for a million rupiah/night. The shower faucet is mossy. The soap and shampoo dispensers are broken. It's not worth the price.

The chicken was still bleeding, at 8:15 a.m. most of the food was gone, not properly controlled. The room was full of red ants, I had already paid for the hotel. I had booked a smoking room, but it wasn't available, even though I had already paid.

Breakfast was awful experience.
As the lady in the restaurant asked how old my niece and nephew was. I booked 5x rooms in total so it should be fine for 6 adults one 15yr old,2x 12 yr old one 9 yr old and 20 month old child.
Is advised as family friendly but it wasn’t as friendly. On our last day one of niece wasn’t feeling well so I asked if I can bring one tiny sweet bread so she can have it with tea in the room but it wasn’t allowed.

My first time checking in Astara for 2 nights. It was a great time we had drinking sessions at Blend Wine. Cool cafe with a variety of drinks at a reasonable price. Friendly staff Ibu Yulis and Grace.
The rooms were so clean and the AC was so chilled. For food, it's surrounded by a food paradise. Had fun in Score Sports Lounge playing golf stimulation with Pak Herman, the Manager of Score Sports Lounge. The rate for golf stimulation is so cheap, Rp250,000 per hour. I really enjoyed it.
Good service for the Astara Hotel concierge, especially Pak Adi and Aldi, who are willing to show you the nightlife spots in the BSB area. I really enjoyed my trip to Balikpapan and was very comfortable staying at the Astara Hotel Balikpapan.
Again, good service.
Finally, the hotel sent me to the Airport free of charge. Highly recommended.

I love staying here because it's directly accessible to the mall 😀. The rooms are clean, with a great view of the pool, and the kids enjoyed swimming there.
