If the rate is 6 out of 10, check in access is very complicated, you have to use the application key, you need a 50k deposit, when you want to enter the stuffy courtyard room, there is no ventilation or exhaust, the staff is not friendly and rude, the AC is not cold enough and is about to break, the bathroom has cockroaches that are not maintained and are also damaged and smelly, there is no tissue exhaust, there is no drinking water, the room is like a horror if you are alone, the paint is really worn out, it is better to have 2, except if you are really sleepy, okay, motorbike access is only until 10 pm, the plus is that you are not allowed to go out, the plus is that the hot water is on the street, the TV STB is usually accessed by stairs.. not recommended for those who stay long

Tips for a budget-friendly stay here: - Book through the Traveloka app, etc. (booking directly is more expensive) - Install the Cozzy app (a must, as check-in and room locks must be done through this app) - Bring 100,000 IDR in cash for a deposit (if you don't have 100,000 IDR, 50,000 IDR is fine) - Request a room on the 3rd or 4th floor, which gets sunlight through the windows, so the damp smell isn't too strong and the room is bright during the day. - You can request free bottled water (you get 2 bottles a day) In my opinion, this is the most worthwhile hostel in Grogol for this price. Other accommodations around Grogol at the same price make me want to run away 🙏🙏😭 This hotel is quite popular with tourists and locals alike. Pluses: - Cheap, affordable. - The location is quite strategic, close to many eateries, food stalls, mini markets, cafes, banks/ATMs, and easy access to public transportation (TJ). - The room is quite comfortable. More like a boarding house. - The AC is cold. - The Wi-Fi is quite fast, although it sometimes stutters. - There are plenty of power outlets. - The staff is quite good and helpful. - The room is safe. There's an automatic door lock. One PIN is required for the entire stay, so you can remember it. - The building is secure. Many staff members are on duty and chatting in the security room near the gate. Cons: - There's no elevator. - The room smells a bit damp and there's a faint smell of cigarette smoke. - Not the cleanest room ever, but still okay to stay in/wipe down a bit. The most dust is on the table and cupboard. - The window can't be closed properly (the curtains can't be fully closed, so you can still see through from some angles). - The lighting in the room is a bit dim at night. - There are lots of tape marks on the walls. - Half the walls are embossed wallpaper, and it's torn/peeled off. There are crumbs on the mattress too. - I use a tissue roll, lol. - My toilet door has a hole in it, as if someone punched it. - The toilet fixtures are quite rusty. - The toilet sprayer doesn't have a holder, so it's lying on the floor, lol. - There's a hot water knob, but no hot water. - The pipe under the sink

The place is clean, but the rules are a bit complicated at the beginning. Because the door uses a PIN and you have to be on time for check-in, then there is the problem of ordering online that works with us and you can't register directly on the spot, you have to download the LG app and register again.

This is the first time I've stayed in a hotel where I wasn't allowed to go out at 10am, the staff talked to people in the local language, the room smelled, the bathroom was full of rubbish, the pillows smelled musty, the AC wasn't cold, there were lots of cockroaches.

I'm not disappointed, but it's a bit of a hassle to check in, you have to use your own app, which is annoying.
