Other accommodations around Grogol at the same price make me want to run away 🙏🙏😭 This hotel is quite popular with tourists and locals alike. Cons: - There's no elevator. - The room smells a bit damp and there's a faint smell of cigarette smoke. - Not the cleanest room ever, but still okay to stay in/wipe down a bit. The most dust is on the table and cupboard. - The window can't be closed properly (the curtains can't be fully closed, so you can still see through from some angles). - The lighting in the room is a bit dim at night. - There are lots of tape marks on the walls. - Half the walls are embossed wallpaper, and it's torn/peeled off. The place is clean, but the rules are a bit complicated at the beginning. This is the first time I've stayed in a hotel where I wasn't allowed to go out at 10am, the staff talked to people in the local language, the room smelled, the bathroom was full of rubbish, the pillows smelled musty, the AC wasn't cold, there were lots of cockroaches.

I'm not disappointed, but it's a bit of a hassle to check in, you have to use your own app, which is annoying.

The staff was fierce, they wouldn't even let me borrow a spoon to eat. I was sick and my relatives didn't let me pick me up from my room to take me to the hospital. Even though I asked for help, the electricity went out by itself.
