The room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Quiet. No room service though but overall it was OK.

Friendly staff. My wife and I felt comfortable staying at this hotel, the atmosphere was suitable, maybe because it was an educational place. The hotel is also clean, and around the campus there aren't enough people selling things we like. Next time there is an event in Surabaya, I will definitely stay here again. 😘.

I have traveled around Indonesia, I have visited dozens of hotels. But this time I had an unpleasant experience. When I wanted to check out, I was told to wait quite a long time, finally I told the receptionist that my train was leaving in 20 minutes. Then the receptionist coordinated with another officer and I heard on HT the officer said "it's safe", then the deposit money was handed over. I immediately realized that my room had been checked even before I left the building, it was crazy that I thought I was a thief, my wife was also shocked because this was her first experience. I understand that when guests check out they must be checked because that is procedure, but hotel guests don't have to be detained like that either. I also have my own etiquette when staying at a hotel, my principle is that I enter the room neatly and leave the room neatly without taking any hotel items with me.

Firstly, it is a procedure at our hotel and it is a normal thing to do when guests check out to check the condition of the room again to ensure that none of your belongings have been left behind. Secondly, our officers' response with the word "Safe" is a form of confirmation that it is safe that no guest items have been left behind. Thirdly, we apologize if you feel that we were held for less than 5 minutes after we confirmed it by checking the CCTV, perhaps because Mr/Mrs CO's time was tight with the train departure schedule. Fourth, we are grateful that you have the principle of entering the room neatly and leaving the room neatly. It should be our responsibility to ensure that the room is ready before guests arrive to stay. Next, we will re-evaluate the procedures that have been implemented to minimize similar things from happening again in the future. The room is very minimalist, similar to a boarding house. It looks modest. There is no hot water, the bathroom is basic. The wifi is slow. While staying there. We don't use WiFi. Because it's slow. Just 1 night, and we moved to a hotel that was really a hotel.
