We had five nights at Griya Santrian in late October 2024, and we really enjoyed it. We had a deluxe room near the Tropical (Middle) Pool, but we also looked at standard rooms and they were fine too.
Breakfast in the beachside terrace room was very good, with excellent staff and service. The main beachfront pool was an excellent social focus, and we met lots of people from around the world. There were a lot of Western Europeans staying there.
The location is excellent, almost exactly in the 'middle' of Sanur, half way along the 7 km boardwalk. We could stroll from the resort to literally dozens of warungs and restaurants every evening for dinner. Supermarkets were close too, as was the new Icon Bali Mall.
The beach in front of the hotel was nice, although Sanur Beach as a whole isn't great for swimming. We swam mostly in the three hotel pools.
Wi-Fi was good, although it could be slow in the late afternoon. TV reception was below par, with a fuzzy weak signal, and it needs upgrading to modern standards.
Overall, we loved staying at the Griya Santrian and would readily stay there again. Recommended for seniors, couples, and families with kids, although there is no kids pool or kids club.

First time we’ve stayed in Sanur in the almost 40 years going to Bali and not disappointed. The Griya is in a great spot, so clean, a couple of pools, on the beach. Will stay again.

I wanted to sleep with the air conditioner on low or off but when I did that everything in the room became wet with condensation: my clothes, electronics, the floor, the bed sheets became damp. I almost fell out on the wet floor. I turned the air conditioning back on but it didn’t really dry out before I left. The food wasn’t great, but I only tried a few things. The wait staff was not happy to be there. I did have a nice massage and a walk down the boardwalk. The views are really nice. I watched a gorgeous sunrise.,

Staff very helpful. Organised an excellent driver called Noodle to pick us up from the airport. We used Noodle a number of times as he was a great driver who spoke english well which was a big help.

Good value for money, beautiful gardens and loved the three pools. Lovely quiet area right on the beach front. Our room was clean but dated, especially bathroom. Stairs were a bit difficult in the villas when your70yrs. Luckily Im fit and healthy. Lovely outlook while having buffet breakfast.

We arrived at Gryia Santian and were immediately upgraded to a pool side room. This facility is quite modern and all facilities were in excellent condition. The grounds were spectacular. The pools were great and the location is amazing. You can walk to many eating options and the roadway had been quiet. There is a boardwalk in the back of the property that leads you to the Icon mall and various restaurants. The beach access is right across from the boardwalk. All chairs / cushions/umbrellas were is great condition and lots of availability. There were so many things right about this place that I would highly recommend staying at the facility.
