Nice and cheap budget hotel. Located at the center of Semarang, easy to go anywhere without hassle. Also there's a mall across the street. + The room is nice and clean. + Hot water works properly. + The staff also nice. + Good interior (and the cafe too) Definitely will stay here again if I go back to Semarang

During my stay at Pop hotel @ Pemuda Semarang, there was a pest control on going that made my eyes so itchy and watery. I kept sneezing since the smell was so disturbing. I really wish the management could’ve given us some warnings or announcement so we could leave our room while they did their job.

For its price range the room was spacious, clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner was very cooling. What I honestly loved the most was the shower as the hot water could last longer and not ran out sooner. Additionally, the staff was very polite and friendly.
What could be improved? The price range. For the price of my room, I would have like a complimentary breakfast to be included as well especially when other hotels are offering similar rooms with included breakfast at competitive prices.

Overall, it was good. BUT, there were still some shortcomings...
- Check-in time wasn't followed up with the customer, even though the room was ready (although it was listed as 2:00 PM, the receptionist said "we can help with the check-in process sooner if there's a vacancy"). I had to contact the receptionist, even though there were other customers before me (and they were given priority).
- The room was full of ants, and the sheets still had quite large stains.
- The AC smelled

The staff is very pleasant and friendly, and they're quick to help with anything. I always come here when I'm in Semarang because it's right in front of DP Mall, next to Lawang Sewu, and it's only 15 minutes from the hotel to Kota Tua.
The Wi-Fi is excellent. It's fast 👍. The hot water is also excellent, with two dispensers on each floor (if possible, maybe add more hot water 🙏).
The downside is that the breakfast isn't hot or warm. This could be improved.
