The hotel is located in a very convenient place, where a lot of stores and restaurants are open. Hotel building is very new and clean, with good safety locks. A starbucks is located on the 1st floor. The room is clean, well equipped with necessary items, and with free snacks.

First time at this hotel, the first impression was very pleasant, starting from entering, we were greeted and the valet was free, the staff were very friendly even though check in was at 11 pm but the service was sat set, check out was also easy and fast and very helpful, it is recommended,,, the room was also okay, clean and tidy, breakfast overall was okay😍 you must try the waffle hehe

Stayed at Pulang ke Uttara, Yogyakarta and really enjoyed the experience. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with a homey feel. Staff were friendly and helpful.
I even received a personalized keychain with my name on it as a gift, plus a free ticket to visit their art exhibition, which was such a unique experience.
Would definitely come back!

Not gonna lie, staying at Pulang ke Uttara is like... recharging my body and soul 🧘🏻♀️🌿
Initially, I just wanted a relaxing staycation in Jogja, but it turned out to be the most memorable healing place I've ever been to. It literally made me never want to leave. 😭
The room is spacious, clean, with a soft bed, cool AC, soft lighting, and large windows—so the morning light can come in and instantly improve my mood. The bathroom is also clean, with hot water flowing smoothly, and there's a touch of aromatherapy. ✨
👋 Service? 11/10.
The staff is super friendly, helpful but not overly so. It's like chatting with your own older sibling. Upon check-in, you're immediately given a cold herbal welcome drink (seriously delicious), and they also give recommendations for local food and coffee that aren't mainstream but delicious. Not stiff, not scripted—purely helpful.
🪩 The interior? Aesthetics every corner!
If you're the type who immediately wants to take a cute OOTD photo every time you see a cute wall, this hotel is truly heaven. Seriously, every corner is thoughtful.
From the semi-industrial yet earthy lobby, the unfinished walls with hanging plants, to the Instagrammable bathroom corners. No lie.
🛡️ Security? So safe, bestie!
One thing that makes me feel super comfortable here is the security system. Every time you enter or exit your room, you have to use an access card (keycard). Not just the room door, but even access to the main building requires a card.
For those of you traveling solo or first-timers to Yogyakarta, this hotel really feels secure. No random people can just walk in, and there's none of that "scary" hotel vibe from horror movies.
🍴 Culinary Paradise Around the Hotel
One of the things that makes me love Pulang ke Uttara even more is... its strategic location, close to all the delicious food 😭💯
So you don't have to ride a motorbike far just to find food. In fact, just a 5-minute walk or motorbike taxi will take you to various hidden culinary gems and beautiful cafes.

For 950,000 Rupiah, the AC sounds like a Sanyo machine, constantly beeping. Rooftop views are useless for the app; requesting a higher floor is better, or don't even ask, as the hotel is sure to have them.

The hotel/apartment staff are incredibly friendly. However, I found most of the security personnel to be quite arrogant, though there were a few good exceptions. Just a heads-up, breakfast is only free for children under 4 years old. Aside from those points, everything else was excellent.

Staying here with my family, the atmosphere is very comfortable, and being at Jakal feels like being in the epicenter of Yogyakarta. Everything is close and within reach.
The room is neat and clean, with all amenities working properly. Although there's no in-room telephone, the staff is very responsive when contacted via WhatsApp.
So far, I've been very satisfied with my stay here and will likely return if I have the opportunity.
