Umae Villa

Most pleasant place to stay for honeymooner, little bit far from Ubud central but easily find and calm vibes. I do not recommend their juices and Fried Rice, but american style breakfast is fine. They need improvement for the kitchen stuff and cleanliness in the amenities. Pool was good. Unfortunately, I must check out before 12 PM for personal reason, but their staff really lovely, helpful and friendly. Even I left my stuff like charger etc, but they kept it in the reception. Overall rating 4.0/5. Would love to comeback someday!

We stayed at Umae Villa for 5 days and 4 nights. We were greeted by friendly staffs upon arrival. Check-in was smooth and were given welcome drink as well. Overall, we were pleased with the hospitality by all of the staffs. Breakfast was provided every morning, nonetheless the variety of food and the quality of food could be improved! We definitely will be coming back again. Thank you, Umae Villa! ❤️

New Villa facilities with 2 bathrooms, kitchen and private pool. On the way to Villa, superb view of paddy field awaits you. perfect getaway for honeymooner and vacation. 2 things need to improve: 1. stains inside electric kettle (interior). 2. floor towel not provided for bathrooms, making it quite slippery. Overall experience was good. rate 8/10.

Hi, To those who doesn't want to read long review, in Summary: avoid this Villa at any cost unless you don't mind to be sent to another villa that is totally different from the one advertised. My profile: I'm a world traveler, and I visited Bali about 10x per year, this so far my worse experience. That is why I bother to write review. Bad Experience: - I booked for 2 nights, it was long drive from my hometown (18 hours) to reach Bali. When I reached the Villa at around 8pm, hoping I can rest. Was disappointed because the receptionist told me the Villa is fully booked and they will transfer me to another Villa with the same spec. I said I couldn't drive any further I need to get a rest and insist on the Villa I booked. The receptionist said it's totally fully booked and no other option. - I drove for another 25 minutes to reach the Villa with the traffic. - I reached to the destined Villa. It look old and dirty, they use wired frame for the fence to the neighbourhood area. - Me and my wife didn't like the Villa that is why we call back to the Umae Villa and complain. - Then they connect me with the hotel manager over the phone, which: Never mentioned his name, never asked my name (but asked her colleague whether I'm local or foreigner, not sure why and why is that important). I requested for the followings from the hotel manager: 1. Find me the room in the Villa that I booked (they don't have and cannot) , he said sorry for the double booking 2. Find me another place , I don't mind even if it downgraded to become non Private Pool Villa, just that I want at the same stretch with the Umae Villa (I chose this Villa initially is because of the location, it has mini market, cafes, etc around the area). Which the manager also said cannot, he said another villa also have a lot of cafes and amenities just need to walk a little bit. Guys please take a look at google map, there is nothing there, it's dark and quiet alley. The nearest convenient store require me to use taxi. 3. All above cannot, they only gave me 2 options: Take the Villa Mandi or Refund, in this case the refund will be processed by agent and it took few days to credit back to me. I asked for compensation fee, he said cannot give me anything. I told him to book me any hotel also cannot. How am I supposed to find a last minute hotel with the normal pricing at that hour? I told the hotel manager I will complain and write bad review to agent, guess what? He said go ahead. That is why now I write this review. So for my 2 nights stay, they sent me the first night to another villa, and the other night to the Umae Villa (the villa that I booked). That mean on 2nd day I couldn't relax but still have to pack and move to another hotel, the only compensation they gave me is 1 hour free massage x 2 persons. And I requested for them to pickup my luggages and transfer to the Umae Villa. I will never lie anything about review, Umae Villa: - It got potential to be good Villa, is just that the owner did this kind of dirty business. You should've increased the price instead of disappointing people like this. I own several business in F&B/hospitality as well. You guys sell this property at lower price from online agent, and still sell it offline with higher price and transfer to another villa when it's double booking. I regret I never properly read the reviews and saw the other reviews that experience the same thing with me. - I got Hot water when I arrived, but after that it's off. The next morning the hot water still not there. I called in total 4 times (in 2 hours span time) and I went to the receptionist physically to ask about it. (I couldn't shower without hot water). They said they going to fix it and wait for 15 minutes. They came to my room and ask me "It's time to checkout" , not even asking about the hot water. Wow! Ok at the end I checked out without shower. - The 1 hour x 2 person massage end up with : 1 hour massage 1 person, and 5 minutes massage 1 person. She said is done. Well , we are not really a massage person, so we don't mind. - The location itself it's good, I talked to the cafes nearby, and the waitress told me that this Villa often did this. - If we didn't got these awful experience, we may became frequent to this Villa (it got potential) and recommend to friends and family. But you got bad story from us to our friends and family instead.
