The room was unique. The front desk people could have been more friendly and willing to help. They just seemed to brush us off as we did not speak Italian. The breakfast staff and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful.

Perfect location. Room (single person) small and bed narrow (70cm?) and pillows really hard. But the location is just so perfect!

Bedroom's carpet was dirty and had a bad smell, the headboard was disgusting, the shower door allows the water to come out to the bathroom creating a real mess. But the worse thing was the front desk staff. Extremely rude to us and to other guests. A guest informed that her room was flooded, and nothing had been done for four hours. A woman who I believed was a supervisor literarily yelled at the guest telling her she was busy! "don't you see there are guests checking in?" I felt very bad seeing the guest with no shoes and her pants wet almost to the knee. Every single front desk person was rude. One night I went down to the front desk and asked the man if I could get an extra pillow. (there was only one in the bedroom). He yelled, "I'm not here, is it 11? not it's not" I told him I don't know his schedule, but his rudeness is unnecessary. He ignored me. I stood there... Ten minutes later, at 11 pm, he said he will write my request for the pillow. Pillow that in four days never arrived. The worst experience I have ever had traveling.

Only thing I like is the area, no service, not water on arrival, we asked for extra pillow and they said they don't have, person at front desk not very friendly or polite and clearly look overworked tired of tourist, we arrived early and asked to leave bag right next to entrance where at leat 10-15 travellers bag has been dumped, no proper storage of bag, huge risk of stolen or lost and no assurance at all from hotel, interior is too old dusty, smelly and not maintained very well, limited and not so so fresh mostly prepacked, breakfast, regretting paying extra for breakfast, tons of better and cheaper options outside hotel just from 2 min walking distance. Avoid this hotel as many better hotel I have seen in same area for similar price range.

After much contemplation, I have decided that this review is best organized by the good, the bad and the ugly. To start off with the good— this place has a GREAT location. It’s literally right behind St. Mark’s square, which made it super easy to pop back to the room if we needed something. The location itself is a 5/5, and the whole reason my husband and I booked this place. Now, onto the bad. The room was outdated, and had cracks in the walls. The towel warmer in the bathroom was stuck on the highest setting, which made the whole room uncomfortably warm. The door handle came off in my husband’s hand, and the room itself was located away from the main building in a dark hallway that felt like something out of The Shining. All of this on its own, however, would never have been enough for us to write a negative review. We are easy going travelers, and just needed a convenient place to crash, so we laughed it off and went about our visit to Venice. Now, onto the ugly. Unfortunately, the hotel has a bedbug infestation. I am not sure HOW we missed this, as previous reviews so mention this issue. We got bit up, and are currently back home in the states lamenting what to do with our laundry (it is currently outside on the back porch in our bags, untouched). All that to say, this hotel has the potential to be a great spot with some updating… and a SERIOUS fumigation.

Location was excellent. Staff were great. We had access to the lift which really helped. The beds were a bit uncomfortable. The floor was off balance which made us laugh when our suitcases would roll to the middle of the room. Made for fun when getting up in the middle of the night. Step up to the bathroom. Bathroom was well equipped. Room was hot - especially as we were on the top floor. We didn’t necessarily want to window open since the bells from the churches went off all night but it was so hot we could sleep. Can’t imagine how this would be in the summer.

Hotel was fine. Maze to find room, up lift, downstairs and back up stairs. Upon entering the hotel it smelt like dirty toilet. Front desk staff was rude and unhelpful. Breakfast was limited and crowded and again smelt like dirty toilet. Hallways kept very hot. Room itself was clean and provided basics.

The property is very very close to Piazza San Marco., Small but comfortable rooms. Easy check in and check out, breakfast is offered for a price of $15 per person.. We chose to go out every morning and have a pastry and a cappuccino or something like that. We were disappointed that the bar that was advertised was closed as far as service goes. We ask the desk clerk one evening if we could get a drink at the bar and he’d had to call someone from another facility or another place at least to come. When they got there, they told us that the bar is in their words pretend. they did bring us wine from another facility, but we sat in the bar by ourselves. The next night we brought our own bottle of wine and we were reprimanded for that. Other than that, the facility is fine. It is definitely not luxury, but it met our needs and definitely is close to everything.

Overall a great place to stay. Easy/short walk from Piazza San Marco. Typical Venetian rooms, clean and comfortable! NOISE LEVEL FROM 11pm to 3AM was unbearable, Partying Outside the hotel from locals was over the top. Breakfast was adequate and enough. Crowded dining area for breakfast. Seemed like guests from several hotels were eating there together. Bar is at the hotel but not open. Desk clerk needed to call someone from somewhere else to get service. The bartender told us that the bar is “pretend”. That the bottles are empty. Our group of 4 stopped in the bar area every evening for a nightcap. Eventually we brought our own bottle of wine along w plastic cups and we were reprimanded . In general hotel would be fine as far as rooms and breakfast. Check in and out was easy . The negatives were the night time loud ongoing noise and the “pretend” bar.
