Our first time in Japan. The accommodation was superb. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was kept clean and necessary amenities were provided. The property is conveniently located close to the public transportation, attractions, and shopping area. Should we come back in Kyoto we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Location: Excellent. This property is located in the main train station which allowed for easy access to all trains, including Shinkansen and the underground. Yet very quiet. Shopping and restaurants all within walking. Hotel: Wonderful. Had everything required and I stayed 7 nights. Only issue is that the gym is not included. Staff: Wonderful and helpful. Room: Very nice and spacious. I recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again!

Hotel was not only convenient for buses to all the sightseeing areas, JR trains and local trains. It was truly world class stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Huge room and comfortable bed and strong showers. Breakfast was top notch, best buffet with top quality.

Hotel Granvia is the perfect location: the JR and local trains are all downstairs. We’ve stayed here 2 years ago and loved it! The staff, bell hops and housekeping are so courteous and helpful. The hotel is inside the Kyoto station which hosts, restaurants and lots of stores for shopping. Hotel Granvia also has a beautifully lit Cinderella type carriage (at night) and a Kyoto sign - a photo opportunity! The only downfall this year was we were on the 9th floor and facing the train station (JR train side). Each morning around 3am we can hear the trains passing by… Other than that, we will stay at this hotel again facing Kyoto Tower next time we come to Kyoto.

AMAZING location. Can’t get any better if you’re in Kyoto for a few days because it’s above the station so you minimize the commute and teleport to your room immediately. Huge rooms and incredibly welcoming staff. Great sauna to relax and a decent swimming pool. Everything was perfect.
