Highly recommended stay at Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka! The location is very convenient, with direct access and close proximity to the station, making it easy to travel around Osaka. It’s also within walking distance to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi for shopping, food, and sightseeing. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and the staff are very friendly. Perfect for both first-time visitors and anyone looking for a hassle-free stay in Osaka. Would definitely stay here again 😊

Really nice hotel in an excellent location. Right above a major subway station which is part of ‘the walk’, basically a huge underground mall with everything you can imagine. Room was very nice, staff were super friendly and helpful, and we paid for the city view upgrade which was well worth it - amazing view!! If the weather is bad you can walk through the underground mall/metro system all the way to Dotenbori.

We arrived early, and the reception kindly stored our luggage. The hotel and reception area were quite impressive, decorated with paintings and had a British colonial style. It seemed like it a popular site for weddings and conferences. Notable was a chapel replica located on the 22nd floor (the reception level) ideal for wedding ceremonies. The hotel is conveniently connected to the underground station and Namba Walk shopping street. Inside the building, there is a Family Mart store as well as a large grocery store linked to the station. Compared to other hotels in Japan, this one had the largest room size. The AC and wi-fi worked well. Breakfast was on 23rd floor in a large fancy reception room and had a city view. The breakfast was OK for us, while the foods were well labeled, due to dietary restrictions we weren’t able to eat majority of the foods, and there were relatively few alternative choices. They did have an ice cream machine though. The hotel did not have laundry machines, but laundry services was available, which we did not use. The airport limousine bus is easily accessible from the OCAT building adjacent to the hotel, and tickets can be purchased on the day of travel at the bus departure location easily. Reception can provide information. Travel time to Kansai International Airport is approximately an hour. We recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

The room was comfortable, well-appointed, and surprisingly spacious for Namba. The air conditioning and television were also very easy to use, which is a welcome touch for non-Japanese-speaking travellers, as hotel room controls in Japan can sometimes be difficult to navigate, even with AI translation tools. What let the hotel down, however, was the breakfast experience. There were lengthy queues each morning simply to be seated, as only one hostess was managing the process. Most guests do not want to begin their day by waiting in line for up to 15 minutes, particularly when there are plenty of vacant tables available in a large dining area. It seemed unnecessary for guests to have to wait to be formally seated. Once inside, there was further congestion due to there being only one coffee machine and one toaster, resulting in even more queuing in what is clearly a very busy hotel. Overall, the room itself was excellent, but the breakfast operation would benefit from some improvements to better accommodate the number of guests.
