De Bedstee Boutique Capsules

I really enjoyed my stay at De Bedstee Boutique Capsules. The whole capsule concept is unique, cosy, and quite a fun experience in Amsterdam. I booked a double capsule even though I was travelling alone, which gave me enough space for myself and my belongings. You can also keep your luggage inside the capsule, which I found very convenient. I have to admit that I was very lucky to get a lower capsule! 😊 I had a large suitcase, so I can only imagine having to climb up and down every time I wanted to enter my capsule or go to the bathroom. If you are travelling with large luggage or have difficulty climbing, I would definitely recommend requesting a lower capsule if possible. I stayed for three nights and really appreciated that my bed was cleaned every day and I was given a fresh towel. The capsule itself was clean and comfortable, and I particularly liked the adjustable lighting, which you can dim to make the space feel even cosier. The receptionists were also very kind and helpful throughout my stay. They even informed me about the public transport strike on 9 September and suggested that I take a taxi to the airport, which I really appreciated. I also tried the breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. I had crêpes, boiled eggs, chicken, yoghurt and coffee, and it was more than enough to keep me full until the afternoon. The only minor inconvenience is that the property does not have a lift, so if you are travelling with a large suitcase like I was, you will need to carry it up the stairs. However, this is something I have encountered quite often while travelling around Europe, so it wasn’t a major issue for me. Overall, I had a really pleasant stay. The capsules are clean and cosy, the staff are genuinely kind, and the experience is something a little different from a regular hotel. I would happily recommend De Bedstee to travellers looking for a unique and comfortable place to stay in Amsterdam. 😊
