Lovely hotel. We had two connecting rooms for our family of 4. 2 bathrooms and extras like kettled and fridge. Staff were great from reception and the bar. A lovely touch with free drink vouchers for not having housekeeping, and sweet jars in the lobby to help ourselves to.

Hotel was amazing!! Check in was quick and efficient and there was an area you could buy snacks and drinks in the lobby. Our room was brilliant and the bathroom was great. Everything was clean and tidy and everything was easy to use i.e tv, shower, charging

The room is was clean in general, but there were some short black hairs on the bed sheets. The floor was very dirty, my white socks were black in no time by walking around in the room. Unfortunately our shower was broken and it couldn’t been fixed during our stay, we got a voucher for drinks, which we didn’t like and that was also only valid for this one day, even though our shower was broken for 3 days. Also the receptionist was informed about this in the morning already and until late afternoon nothing even happened! Later they showed up and tried to fix it, but they couldn’t do it, so it stayed broken all the time during our stay. the young blond lady at the bar was really not nice, as the voucher we got for the green stay did only include Softdrinks, beer and housewine, she was very strict and rude, as my friend said she doesn’t drink beer or wine. The breakfast & the staff there was amazing. Best breakfast we ever had in a hotel! Great offer, very healthy & really good quality! Didn’t need parking.

We arrived late night Door closed took 25 mins for someone to open from reception even by ringing bell. Staff, not friendly. First room was decrepit, headboard scratched deteriorated with nasty stains. A/C not working, sofa chair with horrible brown and white stains all over the seat and backrest. No Kleenex tissues. Room smelled. Hairs hanging from hangers in the closet. Mold inside shower. Etc. We were staying for two nights, yet after the horrible experience we decided to leave the hotel. As I requested for hotel manager, already packed and ready to leave at the lobby, all I was able to get was the front desk manager. She understood perfectly and saw pictures. Finally after a while she offered comp the night charges and pleaded for us not to leave unhappy. She took matter in her own hands and gave us a much nicer (yet still worn out room) but seemed fine. As my wife was going to settle in she opened the toilet seat, and surprise… the upgraded room to make us happy, was filled with urine and excrement. We didn’t not even unpack … we simply stormed out of that nasty, old, dirty hotel. I was going to pay almost 300 Euros and believe me when I say that was not even worth 1 Euro. Cleaning standards for anyone should not be put at test when traveling to a hotel they brag on this site to be excellent. I say this with all honesty and in an effort to help any vacation or business travelers, avoid at all cost!!! Walk a further from train station, and find any other option!!

Lovely room, very clean. Staff super attentive and the breakfast was great. Proper amount of choices. Will definitely stay again when I come back to Utrecht.

Stayed 4 nights, great location to both the train station and the sites, nice restaurant for dinner, I didn’t have the breakfast but it looked good. A free drink to opt out of daily cleaning was a nice touch.

The hotel was modern, clean and welcoming. The room was a great size with great facilities. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The only thing that could have been improved was the size of the third bed. It was quite small and low for a third adult.

Nice hotel, however the toilet in our room continuously ran, it was like water torture so we had to make sure the bathroom door was closed. The headboard has lights built in, however if you look at the indent between the wall and the headboard, the area is filled with dust (my daughter found this out exploring). The mattress is ok, not the most comfortable. AC in Europe just isn’t the same as home in the states. Also the gym doesn’t have wet wipes to sanitize equipment. The hotel is a 20 min walk to the historic area, however 10 minutes of this is walking by the central train station and a mall. Nice hotel, friendly staff.

We had a connecting family unit on the 12th floor. As we walked in, one of the two connecting rooms had a very strong musty smell. We complained to the reception and they were above and beyond accommodating. They took me to look at the same set of rooms one floor below, but it had the same musty/damp smell. The manager then took me to another set of rooms on a different side of the building, but one of those rooms smelled like sewer. At that point, I decided to stay in our initial room because there was no sense in changing one stinky room for another. I had a very poor sleep because the strong smell kept waking me up, and at the same time I got stuffy nose. When that happened I knew it was mold, upon closer look I found a lot of mold around windows (pictures attached). Real health hazard!!! So the second day, we informed the reception. Again, the amazing staff helped us find different rooms, and provided us with the breakfast voucher. However, one of the new rooms still had some sort of smell, and unfortunately having experienced how unsafe the place is in terms of air quality, I could not enjoy my stay. The reception did tell us that they experience problems with sewer smells, but assured me that no one ever complained about the mold. I just don’t see how this could be true provided the large overgrowth of mold on the walls. So, despite the amazing staff and great location, I will not be returning to this hotel, unfortunately.
