This hotel is amazing. It's undergone a dramatic transformation. I first booked this hotel in 1992, when it was called Hotel 81 Classic. In 2026 (34 years later), I booked it again, with a remarkable transformation. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The hotel is surrounded by a food court, fresh fruit stalls, and fresh juices. It's close to public transportation, including the MRT and bus.

If you are claustrophobic, then it won't be suitable for you. Pillow is too soft and when we called for the night shift receptionist for extra pillow, he didn't bother to call us back. Our room was upgraded by the customer service oriented personnel at the counter. He's friendly and very welcoming 👍Room is very clean and comfortable.

Much better than expected. Place is recently renovated, clean, tidy. Staff is friendly and helpful. Grab-friendly as well. 10 - 12 min walk to nearest MRT and shopping center. Would def consider this place again in the future.

This is a good hotel for a day or two stopover in Singapore. The room is nothing fancy, a bit small but adequate and had everything we needed. It was very clean with a comfortable bed and a good shower. The location was great. 20 minutes by cab from the airport and dozens of shops and restaurants right outside the door. We will stay again.

Location is little bit far from MRT station but still walkable. Room was clean and amenity was also fully set up. Reception was kind and helpful, especially Jeff helped me so much when I checked out.

The hotel was very clean and well maintained. It was also updated with nice glass showers, very nice rain drop shower, pot lights and very nice tiles through out. I would have given the property five stars if not for the issue where the housekeeper woke us up at 3:00am due to the noice from cleaning one of the rooms one morning and the fact there was no breakfast in the morning.

Carole and Alf are the best @ the reception desk They are friendly and very helpful with whatever questions you have regarding transportation, MRT, buses, taxi or Grab and the places to eat. They'll always tell you the best option(s). Any concerns just ask them and they'll resolve it immediately. Firdaus kept our room sparklingly clean daily with fresh towels daily. We just love these staff. It's our 1st time in Singapore and they made our visit much less stressful.

The room was simple, clean and dark for sleeping which was excellent after a long flight. The staff, especially Alph, Jeffi, and Malik were very friendly and helpful for every question we had. We appreciated the filtered drinking water in the sink - easy access and helpful. Excellent food courts and options nearby, stores as well. Would definitely stay here again!

our stay at the property was very good, excellent and professional service from the staff expecially the gentleman , his name is "Wee", and the cleaning staff were very nice and accomodating. Over all the experience was exceptionally good, will not hesitate to stay again.

The receptionists were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable but so very tiny: the bed was pushed to the wall; the fridge door can't open fully; practically no storage for clothes- only a few hangers! & the windows had wooden louvers, so no outside view! The room was facing the road, so there is noise from the traffic. It's not ideal for longer stsys.

Nice boutique hotel and decent room size too for Singapore which are very small normally. Nice enough location although not in CBD. Many foods options for all tastes. All in all highly recommended and good value for money. Ideal for Solo or couple only travellers.
