citizenM Taipei North Gate

The service is excellent. The staff is cheerful, speaks fluent English, and gives easy-to-understand instructions. The room is very clean and comfortable, everything can be adjusted with the iPad available in the room or via the citizenM app. The view from above to see the city and the cars running below is great. What I like most is the bathroom, the water is strong and there is a tropical rain shower that pours water from above, extremely comfortable. I don't want to go out after taking a shower :) Especially, it's close and convenient to go anywhere because it's only a few hundred meters from the MRT station. You can take the MRT, walk, or call Uber if you go further. If you use Uber, remember to check the bill carefully after arriving, if there's anything, report it to the Uber operator immediately. Many drivers see that you are a tourist, so sometimes they think that if you add more money, you won't notice. In general, this citizenM North Gate hotel is great. You should experience it! :)

Walking distance to and fro Ximen and Taipei Main Station. several coffee shops and convenience stores surrounding it. Clean, high-tech and accommodating. Spacious too.

The room is spacious enough for two people. we enjoyed the high-tech feature. We maximized the use of an ipad to navigate the TV, music, lights & room temp. They clean our rooms everyday - we stayed here for 4 nights. Staff are accommodating. Quiet location but near convenience store & walking distance to Ximen station, Biemen & Taipei Main Station.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, Clean, modern, room and property, nice western breakfast. Nice view on 18th floor (room with view). Would definitely stay again. TIP 1 - Grab a free Taiwan Tourist Map from the airport info counter. It has the entire metro system CATCHING TRAIN - AIRPORT to TAIPEI MAIN If catching train from airport to Taipei Main, make sure you exit via Beimen Station (Tacheng St/Zhengzhou Rd) as the hotel is only a 5 minute stroll from there. Look for the Beimen Station / Taoyuan Airport MRT signs. That exit is far more convenient, less crowded and faster than if you exit via Main Station itself, which will take you to the busy main road and you'll be walking twice as long over footpaths, with pedestrians and waiting for traffic lights to change. Beimen station (on the Green line) is also great for getting around as it has 2 junctions with the red line. CHIFENG STREET (ZHONGSHAN STATION) From Beimen the metro heading north takes you to Zhongshan station (Chifeng Street and Lane 23 Nanjing W Rd). Zhongshan station is a junction with the red line. YONGKANG / DONGMEN / TAIPEI 101 From Beimen the metro heading south takes you to CK-S station (Chiang Kai-Sek Memorial Hall) which is another junction with the red line, and you just change trains there to go to Dongmen (Yongkang St, and all the various little lanes with boutiques and eateries), and 4 stops further, and you're at Taipei 101. XIMENDING WALKING DISTRICT Just a 10 minute stroll from the hotel

Truly fantastic hotel! I was very impressed as this hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. I paid extra for higher floor with a view and happy I did. I had windows on both sides of my hotel room which made me feel on top of Taipei. Great friendly staff with excellent English ability. Comfortable bed and the best shower experience I've ever had in a hotel! Truly great rain shower with additional shower handheld sprayer as well. Hot water and excellent pressure. Perfect location. 5 minute walk to Beiman MRT station and 10 minutes to Main station. 10 minute walk or so to Ximen as well.
