Interesting Info about Maharani Train
As a medium-distance subsidized train, Maharani Train has several interesting facts, namely:
The Maharani train operation departed from the idea of reusing used train cars. By doing so, the emergence of the Maharani Train is expected to increase the haulage on certain routes. At the beginning of its operation, Maharani Train used a reserve and a former Kertajaya train. However, since April 2015 the Maharani train has experienced a renewal of passenger car trains and generators.
The train whose name comes from the name of a cave in the Lamongan Regency also underwent several route changes. At the beginning of its operation, February 7, 2014, the Maharani train only ended at Cepu Station. Then, this route is again shortened up to Lamongan Station. Since June 1, 2014, the Maharani Train route has been expanded to Semarang Poncol Station up until now.
