Tegal Bahari Train
Tegal Bahari Train is a combination of Executive and Economy AC train service provided by PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) through Operation Area 3 Cirebon. The train has been in operation since 2007, specifically carrying passengers from Tegal Station to Gambir Jakarta Station, and vice versa. Pulling Executive class cars, the train caters to a large number of passengers, three round-trips each day.
As the train combines Executive and Economy class, Tegal Bahari Train provides different facilities and services according to the class. Passengers who travel on budget can buy an Economy class ticket for Rp95,000 to Rp125,000. The fare mainly depends on the selected subclass, which refers to the seating position inside the passenger car. The facilities in economy class include air conditioning, LCD TVs for entertainment, modern toilets, cabin baggage, leather-covered seats arranged permanently in 2-2 configuration, two power plugs just below the window, and a meal service offered in a dining cart.
On the other hand, passengers who prefer a more comfortable trip can buy the Executive class ticket for Rp165,000 to Rp200,000. With the ticket, passengers are entitled to receive the highest service offered by Tegal Bahari Train. In terms of facilities, the Executive Class provides more comfortable and more private seats, just like airplane seats. The seat can be adjusted according to your preferable position. On each seat, each passenger is provided with a reading lamp, a folding table, a power plug, a pillow, and a blanket. Executive class passenger luggage is also more exclusive, bringing the same concept as aircraft luggage.
