Primajasa Perdanaraya Utama, or commonly known as Primajasa, is a bus company that currently serves 21 intercity and interprovincial (AKAP) routes for areas in Jabodetabek, Banten, and West Java. Offering a range of bus classes, from AC economy, non-AC economy, to executive, Primajasa focuses on short and medium-range routes, such as the popular Jakarta – Bandung route or vice versa. In 2012, a well-maintained service quality led Primajasa to be awarded as the best transportation company by Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation.
Established in 1991, PT Primajasa Perdanaraya Utama started its operation as a tourist bus. With a fleet of 25 buses, Primajasa offered a roundtrip Bogor – Tangerang route via Jakarta. Once its business developed, Primajasa expanded its services by introducing intercity and interprovincial (AKAP) routes in 2001 and making various breakthroughs in the field of land transportation. One of the breakthroughs was to open a route that had not been or rarely sought by competitors. Primajasa also introduced new pick-up points aside from the terminals. It opened bus pools in strategic locations, such as airports, ports, shopping centers, and housing complexes. For example, Primajasa opened intercity and interprovincial (AKAP) routes such as Tanjung Priok – Merak and Bandara Internasional Soekarno-Hatta – Bandung to serve its users. Currently, Primajasa’s head office is located on Jl. Mayjen Sutoyo No. 32, in front of the BKN busway stop, Cililitan, East Jakarta. In addition to the intercity and interprovincial (AKAP) bus service, Primajasa also developed other business units such as the Primajasa Taxi service that is equipped with taximeters, the RedWhite Star tourist bus, as well as an airport shuttle bus service. This attentiveness to spotting opportunities cannot be separated from the figure of Amir Mahpud, owner and President Director of PT Primajasa Perdanarayautama. Having experiences in Mayasari Bhakti Utama Group owned by his father, the late H. Engkud Mahmud, Amir was interested in developing a business idea that is different from the parent company's core business. Now, the hard work has finally paid off. Starting from a handful of buses, Primajasa has now grown its fleet to more than 1,000 bus units. Primajasa’s fleet now serve more than 20 routes. With Hino RKT, Hino RG, and Hino RK8 buses, Primajasa offers regular and shuttle bus services. For the regular bus service, Primajasa focuses on serving short and medium-range routes with options of AC economy, non-AC economy, and executive class buses. The regular bus service can be easily found in major terminals, such as Kampung Rambutan, Pasar Rebo, Leuwi Panjang, and Lebak Bulus. In addition, regular buses are also available from Primajasa’s bus pools, such as at Ciputat and Cawang BKN in Jakarta, Kota Harapan Indah in Bekasi, and Jababeka in Cikarang. Each bus pool is equipped with facilities such as waiting rooms, cafeterias, toilets, and musalas—all to ensure passengers will feel comfortable while waiting for their bus’s departure. Meanwhile, for the shuttle bus service, Primajasa serves only the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport – Pasar Modern Batununggal Bandung (previously at Bandung Supermall) route. Using the executive class buses, the shuttle bus departs hourly. Primajasa also ensures that the bus will depart on time, whether the bus is still empty or full, so that passengers will not miss their flight schedule. In providing their service, the Primajasa crew and staffs always serve according to its ETA slogan, which stands for efficient, timely, and safe (aman), to ensure customer satisfaction. This excellent service quality is what leads Primajasa to win numerous awards, such as the Wahana Tata Nugraha award in 1996, Hino Platinum Award in 2006, the award for best transportation company in 2012 from Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation, as well as the award for best transportation company in 2013 from the DKI Jakarta Government.

Passengers must show (1) a negative rapid antigentest that was performed at the longest 24 hours before boarding time or a negative PCR test that was performed at the longest 48 hours before boarding time
Passengers must show their vaccine certification if they are traveling in PPKM areas. The certificate must show that the passenger has received at least their first vaccination.
Passengers under the age of 12 are temporarily restricted from traveling.
Ticket price already includes Jasa Raharja insurance premium.
Maximum baggage is 20 kg. Otherwise, passenger will have to pay an extra charge of Rp3.000/kg.
Every baggage must be reported to and labeled by the bus staff.
Passenger can carry additional items such as backpack, handphone, laptop, camera, wallet, or other items that can be stored under the passenger’s seat or inside the bus cabin. These items do not need to be reported or labeled.
Passengers are solely responsible for personal belongings that are not stored in the baggage storage.
Passengers are not allowed to carry animals, items with strong odor, sharp objects, illegal objects, dangerous items, chemicals, motor vehicle, liquid without proper storage, fragile objects, as well as overly large and heavy objects.
Departure time, bus type, and bus route can change without prior notice due to operational reasons.
Primajasa will not be responsible for delay caused by natural disaster, traffic, or riot.
