ibis Sydney World Square

This is my second stay at this hotel, and I really love it for the convenient central location close to transport links, clean rooms with all the amenities I needed, and friendly staff. I did have a slight issue with the main reception not replying my emails about changes related to the conflicts in Iran, which was a little stressful. I am not sure why the communication with them via email and also the chat service was so difficult, but it would be good to know how best to contact the hotel if this is not the best way. But the issue was resolved, and I was still really happy with my stay. I would stay there again.

Clean room good staff

I have never stayed at the Ibis before and probably won’t after this visit, the only nice thing was the staff. Rooms are outdated and although have been cleaned the wear and tear makes it less than desirable. Outlets for power were faulty and loose, with most feeling dodgy. Shower was not built on a slant so the water pools around you which explains why the seal at the bottom is blackening. There is also a gap between the shower door, it won’t fully close, leaving the floor outside to get substantially wet. The gym was lack lustre and you had to walk through the breakfast dining area to get to it, equipment is old and only 4 machines, no free weights to lift. There was also no sanitizer for the equipment, I had to ask the staff at the restaurant for sanitizer but I had to return the bottle after, defeating the purpose.

Shops and places to eat were nearby

Excellent location, excellent and VERY helpful staff. Rooms are incredibly small, two suitcases can not be opened at the same time.

Small but everything you need in a budget friendly but very clean and well placed package. Lovely, personable staff who really went the extra mile to assist.

Great locations. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good value hotel.

Close to transport, shops, attractions. Friendly and attentive staff. We did hear some music from adjacent venue which was not loud (and it was a Saturday night). Other than that it was a very quiet morning with nice block out blinds which resulted in a wonderful sleep in. Would stay again.

Great location

Simple furnishings but clean

Comfy bed, clean room and friendly staff in this budget hotel.

The property is pretty old but it was expected. Room size is decent and cleanliness was acceptable. The location is excellent as expected.

Room was clean and neat. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was nice. Only downside was not being able to adjust the air con temp without calling reception and the air con turned off so the room was overly warm when returning from being out.

Comfortable, very clean, great location, excellent value.

The room was good, clean and comfortable. The staff were all very polite and courteous. The only problem was the small fridge in the room was iced up and not cold. We advised the reception, who had a maintenance person come to have a look. The person replaced the fridge, but unfortunately that fridge did not get cold either. We advised the reception before leaving. Also the phone was not working, so we couldn't call reception.
