On arrival were greeted by a friendly man on reception and check in was smooth. We were in room 105. The room was cleaned to a satisfactory level. A couple of hairs were found on the pillow cases. The bathroom was clean but the quality of the toilet roll was the worst I’ve ever experienced. The only real issue we had with the room was the mattress. It needs throwing away and replacing. There was a huge dip in the middle of the mattress and as a heavily pregnant woman, I couldn’t get comfortable and had an awful nights sleep. Breakfast was a very basic continental breakfast but it served its purpose and filled a hole! I would return here, however I would make sure to inspect the mattress before bedtime in order to be able to speak to reception before it’s too late. And I would take my own toilet roll!

We didn’t need to spend much time in the hotel but I got a bad feeling before arriving because I wanted to check about parking there early. Nobody answered the phone after 7 separate attempts and I had to contact Expedia. Nobody on reception most times we passed by. A note said about staff shortages and to ring a bell. The room was clean but nothing worked. We could barely pick up the WiFi and our room was above reception. The fridge was warmer than the room and the TV just had random channels and no signal for any streaming services. It could be a really nice place if some effort was put into some simple maintenance and someone could answer the telephone. I can’t believe a business in the hospitality industry doesn’t think it’s important to answer the telephone to their customers.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, and although the bathroom seemed a little worn it was very clean. Breakfast was ok. The rooms we had were an upgrade from the ones we booked, I think. The hotel was situated in a lovely area, with walking available along the river and the canal, and a couple of villages close by, containing decent pubs and restaurants. I would stay there again.

Lovely hotel. Perfect location next to the river and weir, where there are otters and geese (plus lots of other wildlife). 30 mins scenic walk to centre of Bath, 10 minutes on the bus and nice "old school" pub at the end of the river walk from the hotel. Will DEFINITELY stay there again!!

We stayed in the main house as I had read poor reviews for the lodges. Our room overlooked the river and mill wheel which was lovely. The room was clean and tidy but the bathroom was a little dated.

Standard continental breakfast. Could do with updated the toaster machine. Friendly staff. £10 to park the car if you can get a space a bit steep. Looks tired from outside but dont let that fool you. Lovely location. Rooms clean and tidy. Definitely stay again.

Check-in was good, staff member was pleasant and the room was well presented. Unfortunately the room stank of cigarette smoke and we couldn't be moved to another room. Before I would stay here again I would insist that the room was a non-smoking room, it was truly unpleasant. Nice and simple continental breakfast in a lovely breakfast room with views over the river.
