Had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location was excellent, right in the heart of the shopping and gourmet district, making it very convenient to explore the area. While it is not exactly next to Gion, it is still within a comfortable walking distance. The room was extremely comfortable, clean, and spacious enough for two people even with our large luggage. What stood out most was the excellent service from the hotel staff. Everyone was warm, friendly, and very helpful throughout our stay, which made us feel truly welcomed. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. In fact, I have already booked another family trip and will be staying at Cross Hotel again this December. Looking forward to returning!

The location is hard to beat, right near Kawaramachi and within walking distance to Gion, Nishiki Market, and tons of great খাব and shopping spots. It made exploring Kyoto incredibly convenient. The rooms were modern, clean, and surprisingly spacious for Japan. The bed was super comfortable, and the little details—like the high-quality toiletries and thoughtful layout—made a big difference after long days of walking around the city. Service was top-notch. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help with directions, recommendations, or anything we needed. Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick. The hotel itself has a stylish, relaxed vibe, and everything felt well-maintained and high-end without being over-the-top. Overall, Cross Hotel Kyoto is a perfect mix of comfort, location, and service. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto.

Very close to most of the Kyoto’s central shopping and market places and it’s the first advantage of this hotel. Breakfast is also good and served with plenty of menus and staffs are also very kind and helpful with prompt service. I would stay again if I had a chance to visit Kyoto again.

This hotel is in a wonderful location. Easy walk for many restaurants and tours close to the river. It's easy to catch a cab to go to other places. The staff was very friendly and informative, probably the best aspect of this hotel. The WiFi in the room was terrible. Mostly I gave up and used my cell service but I had to add more data on at a cost. The restaurant/bar wasn't available in the evenings. So, we couldn't meet in the bar for a drink before dinner. Although it's very common in the hotels we stayed in, I find it annoying that they won't come in and make your bed. I didn't want the sheets changed every day, but part of the enjoyment of being at a hotel is coming back to a bed that's made and I wasn't the one doing it. Here you could request full service or nothing. All in all I would probably stay here again because of location and staff. You should just know what you're getting.

Excellent location. Close to everything. Geisha village is walkable. The bullet train station is just a few miles away. Very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They called our ride for us. They also walked with us outside the hotel to make sure we get into our ride. Breakfast was very good and tasty.

Machine check in for price of room very impersonal and unwelcoming Good location Smaller room We stayed at four higher-end hotels. This one by far was the least service oriented also no robes only pyjamas that were too small. They were cute but too small other hotel rooms with pyjamas also had robes and pyjamas that were cut to fit most bodies.

Beautiful hotel in a great part of the city. So much in walking distance and only a few minutes to the subway to get to other areas. Room was beautiful. Everything so clean. Bathroom shower was amazing. We miss that so much now we are home. Staff were friendly and helpful. Helped us book a tea ceremony and dinner reservations. Loved this hotel. Upgrade to the deluxe room it’s worth it for extra space.
