ibis Sydney World Square

Excellent location. Well maintained and clean. Our shower leaked, making a small puddle across the bathroom floor whenever we used it. Only a minor nuisance, which we didn't feel the need to complain about, and housekeeping always left it scrupulously clean and tidy. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Our room was spacious, with great views of the busy streets below. The room, however, was noisy. Street noise could be heard until the early hours of the morning and was at a level that would disturb someone who is used to sleeping in a quiet environment. The buffet breakfast was more than sufficient, and good value. The only other disappointing aspect of our room was the shower. The door didn't fit properly and water made its way out, making the floor slippery and dangerous. The area surrounding the Ibis World Square is incredible. Night life, resteraunts, icecream parlours, bars and cinema. This is why we enjoy staying at the Ibis World Square.

Handy to groceries and eateries. Short walk to central station for airport line. Good bed, quiet room. On the 17th floor with no street noise.

This place really smells bad

Breakfast staff was unfriendly and try to charge us full rate for breakfast per person. Upon checkin for our booking we were advised, if breakfast was pre-booked the night before. The per person rate would be discounted. The staff at breakfast started clearing plates whilst we were eating. He was very unfriendly and unprofessional. Then chef had serving of breakfast and sat where guest were whilst guest were still coming in for breakfast. The reception staff were welcoming and somewhat helpful. The phone in room didn't work and there was no fan in the bathroom. So any steam, spraying of any aerosol could trigger smoke alarm. Stay was ok and u get what you pay for. Location wise, property was situated in CBD. Close to shops, restaurants, and transport.

The room was very clean, amenities were good, surrounding building were a tad run down, closed or graffitied. Room was quite noisy due to rave party next door but overall good location and friendly staff.

The Ibis hotel is an excellent choice, extremely friendly, clean, central and the breakfast is such good value. The room was spacious for our trio with all amenities required for our short stay. Highly recommend.

Staff was amazing helpful and friendly, room needs some renovation bed was clean location is amazing.

No fuss, basic but well maintained hotel. Rooms were basic but good value for money. Well located in the Sydney CBD. Was perfect for what I needed.

Would stay there again

Had a lovely stay bonus with kettle, microwave and fridge in room, close to Coles across the road at world square and light rail at Chinatown. Bed comfy clean bathroom only downside was walls a little thin, I was lucky to only have one side neighbor and then cleaner making noise vacuuming banging into wall early in morning with no consideration given to do not disturb sign I had up.

Great location, close to lots of options for public transportation or walking to nearby popular locations. Room was very noisy. Noise from outside and other guests on the floor. The bathroom had not had a through clean. The last guests toothbrush was still there. We were very grateful to the friendly staff for early check in, which made a big difference to our stay.
