This is a charming hotel with a lovely view of the river, the weir and green fields and hills. The working water wheel is especially appealing. Very peaceful and quiet, but only minutes from Bath City Centre, either walking or via convenient bus stops. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, pleasant place to stay.

Overall the stay was very good, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was decent. The negatives were having to pay £10 for one day's parking and an unreliable wi-fi service

The staff were excellent unfortunately the facilities were not. We had a bad nights sleep - the bed was uncomfortable and there didn’t appear to be any kind of sound proofing in the rooms as it felt like we could hear every coming and going in the hotel, including the guests talking in the next room. The bathroom was also not very clean, there was black mould on the door runner in the shower and even the toilet roll holder was rusty. The breakfast was disappointing and poor quality.

Beautiful location and the views of the river were stunning. Room was good and spacious with a great few of the river which really made up for everything else. Staff seemed to be a little unhelpful when it came to breakfast as we had no clue where to go, if we were to help ourselves or not.. we just got on with it in the end.. and there was limited options really. Value for money .. I would say it’s alittle over priced for what you get. You pay £30 deposit on top of what you paid for the room due to taxes and fees? Then pay on top for parking. Just seems little off. Bath was beautiful I must say

Bathroom need some shelves. Over all the place could do with some touch ups and cleaning. Wifi was out but that a city issue. Want told prior to asking. Small fridge and microwave in room would be nice. Did have cookies at coffee station. $10 parking that was on contract but wasn't clearly marked. Nice place and in lovely spot.

Quirky old building, so, some steep staircases. Unfortunately we arrived whilst they were doing some renovations, so, not everything was available. But the continental breakfast was good the next morning. The rooms were ok, we were lucky to get a river view (for free, if booked in advance that costs extra) quite a small twin room, en suite bathroom. Sadly no air con, we did have a small fan and left the patio doors open overnight. The bathroom was ok, the duty manager said they are all being refurbished over winter. Shower was average, not much pressure and took a couple of minutes ti figure out. They only had one small towel rail, so, I suggested to the manager about perhaps a couple of hooks on the back of the bathroom door. Then he says they are replacing over winter, so they won't add hooks yet. In the room there were tea and coffee making facilities, a small fridge, a desk, a small wardrobe with a safe inside and even an iron and ironing board. Sockets by the desk had USB sockets too. Overall nice. I think once the refurbishment is completed it will be cracking. There's also a bar with outdoor seating, as well as outdoor seating by the river. The hotel is next to a toll bridge which does cause queuing. £1.20 to cross over in a car. Parking is limited, first come first served. £10 for the whole stay, which is good value. I'd say there are perhaps15 spaces. You pay when you check out. The staff were nice. Ellie the duty manager was particularly lovely.

Parking is available on-site but was tight spaces. £10 per night for parking. The room was very cosy (small). The bed was a small double, I actually had to sleep on the floor half way through the night as we were very hot and I needed to cool down. They did supply a fan for the room. There were 2 other bedrooms that were very close, so hearing others having conversations and banging doors. I feel £14 for continental breakfast was a bit steep. We had an evening meal which was ok. Lovely garden and view over the river.

Loved the location of The Old Mill hotel, on arrival reception was welcoming and friendly. The Hotel is an old building full of character.Room was clean . The Italian Restaurant was ok, food was nice but not what we would call authentic Italian. Disappointedly on our last night our food was significantly delayed, seemed our order was forgotten, after asking the waitress how much longer would our dinner be ,she carried on walking we sadly didn't even get a sorry I will find out for you ! The food was eventually brought to us 85minutes after ordering steak and chips ! Still no kind of an apology. This lack of customer service made a negative impact on our stay.

The patio was completely removed and under construction, which I'm sure will benefit future travelers, but made the outdoor patio unavailable to us during our stay. Despite that, the views from our room were beautiful. We ate at the restaurant on-site and the food was very good. Continental breakfast was also nicely provided to start the day of adventuring. Staff were polite and helpful with suggestions and recommendations. Onsite parking was the biggest deterrent. The parking slots were VERY close to one another, leaving very little room to maneuver and to get luggage and people in and out of the car once parked. The hotel is outside of the city of Bath, so if you are looking for a quiet stay, within close driving or busing distance, this is a great location for you!
