Why is my flight refund taking so long?

Waiting for a flight refund can be frustrating, especially when it takes longer than expected. Here are some common reasons why refunds might take a long time:

Airline’s refund policy and processing time

Each airline has its own refund policies and timelines. Some airlines process refunds quickly, while others may take several weeks due to internal procedures.

High volume of refund requests

During busy travel periods or operational disruptions, Traveloka and airlines may face a high volume of refund requests, which can slow down processing.

Payment method and bank processing

Once the refund is approved, banks or payment providers may take several days to complete the transaction and return money to your account.

As you booked your flight ticket via Traveloka, the refund process involves coordination between us and the airline, which requires time. However, we always strive to return your refund within the estimated timeframe.
