DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester - Piccadilly

The corner deluxe king room with a city view isn’t worth the extra. The layout is awkward and it feels smaller than a deluxe king, with the same outdated bathroom. Front-facing corner rooms toward Piccadilly feel larger than the rear ones facing Canal Street. On this stay, the room was missing a pair of slippers, and a tissue was left in a robe pocket. The bed was hard and uncomfortable despite having two mattress toppers. Housekeeping may be aware, but reception’s response was just that they’d pass it on. On the plus side, the location is excellent, the fridge contents (soft drinks, water, KitKats) are a nice perk, and staff remain great. Breakfast was adequate, though a little lacking compared to previous stays, with the cooked buffet offerings disappointing. There’s still enough variety to make it satisfactory. Overall, I love this hotel for its location and friendly staff, but I’d reconsider paying extra for the corner deluxe king room. The standard king room is quieter and has more space.

This hotel was beautiful. The rooms were of a very high standard. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Great hotel with comfortable rooms and delicious breakfast, including wide range of vegetarian options which can be hard to find in hotels. Location is excellent; walking distance to city centre.

Large comfortable and quiet room. Great blackout curtains. Staff all welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good although no veggie cooked options apparent.

The rooms were very clean & had plenty of space, comfy beds & it’s in a great location. It’s close to the train station, as well as plenty of shops & bars around to explore. Very friendly staff.

The staff was friendly, and I enjoyed having conversations with them. The property was clean and near everything I wanted to visit. This was my first time visiting Manchester, and this stay has definitely convinced me to visit again.
