Pantai Cahaya Bulan (formerly known as Pantai Cinta Berahi or Beach of Passionate Love) was believed to be name by a British lovebird, who was also soldier during the World War Two. The beach name was then changed to Pantai Cahaya Bulan, which means ‘Moonlight Beach’. In Bahasa Malaysia, both ‘moonlight beach’ and ‘beach of passionate love’ shares the same acronym – PCB. Pantai Cahaya Bulan is the most famous beach in Kelantan. The sandy beach stretches to about 1.2 kilometres along the East Coast, is definitely a crowd puller especially during the weekends. How to Get There

By Plane

If you are traveling by air, nearest airport is the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport (IATA: KBR, ICAO: WMKC) an airport that operates in Kota Bharu, a city in the state of Kelantan in Malaysia. The airport is in Pengkalan Chepa, about 20 minutes from the beach. Pantai Cahaya Bulan is approximately 20 minutes drive through 12 kilometres of road from Kota Bharu town, heading towards north of Pengkalan Chepa.

By Car

You can also rent a car to the beach. Fasten your seatbelt! The breathtaking journey will take about 20 to 25 minutes, depending on the traffic. You will pass through picturesque Malay village and you can drop by to get some traditional food and handicraft as souvenirs at the stalls along the road.

By Bus

If you are traveling by public transportation, you can take Bus No.10 from the bus station in the town centre.
