Great resort. The staff are wonderful! Top tier! The beach close by is not as pretty as most beaches and the location is a little out of the way for most activities but the resort itself is gorgeous.

We recently stayed at Banyan Tree Phuket in a two-bedroom pool villa and unfortunately, the experience did not meet the expectations of a 5-star resort at this price point. The villa felt outdated, particularly the bathrooms, and overall lacked the level of comfort and refinement we expected. Basic details were missing — for example, only one bath towel per person was provided, and pool towels (both in-villa and at the main pool) were very worn, with visible threads coming out. The toilet did not work. Service recovery felt inconsistent. After raising concerns about breakfast, we were offered a much nicer, quieter alternative location for “special guests,” which was excellent — but it was unclear why this wasn’t offered from the start. Similarly, after further complaints, we were offered to move villas for the last two nights, but no proactive support was provided to facilitate the move, making it impractical for our family. Food quality was another disappointment. Room service and poolside options were very basic — for example, chicken nuggets appeared to be of low supermarket quality, with poor presentation. The main pool is beautiful, but sunbeds are outdated with worn mattresses and old towels. The beach club requires a shuttle and felt crowded and loud, lacking a relaxing atmosphere. Overall, this stay fell significantly below our previous experiences with the Banyan Tree brand (such as Bali and the Maldives), and did not reflect the level of luxury we expected.

Just wow! What an incredible hotel from arrival and fresh drinks and biscuits, to the incredible and attentive staff, and the amazing grounds and facilities. We had an amazing break at this hotel and would recommend to anyone travelling to Phuket who wants to be in the quieter North away from the more hectic main areas. So many amazing restaurants and things to do in the local lagoon and town area as well.

Service at breakfast was below par. The spa and food at other restaurants was excellent. The rooms can do with some renovation

Everything was amazing!! Staff handled everything with care and we loved spending our honeymoon here. The food was 10/10, our room was very clean and neat!

Beautiful rooms, excellent staff, we have been visiting for many years. Seems a little more commercial on this visit with corporate events going on. Shame as it impacted the relaxed atmosphere and has feel of the hotel.

I stayed at Banyan Tree every time when I came to Phuket. My last time in Phuket was however 10 years ago. I found the villa I stayed this time was clean and spacious enough for 3 people. However, it is a bit dated and needs some update. Staff were most helpful. The newly opened beach club was exceptional and excellent for evening relax drinking. I would stay in Banyan tree again for my next visit to Phuket.

While room was big, needs renovating since had broken roof tiles, crack in mirror in room etc. Staff were all excellent and breakfast and dinner were excellent

The Grounds are wonderful and spotless. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The villa is wonderful but some things needed a bit of upgrading. The table when entering the villas was of a different wood type which did not really match the decor and was significantly scratched. A number of mirrors outdoors had this pink/red plastic which looked worn and many were cracked and peeling. Small details which are important for the price one is paying. My biggest disappointment was the food: Breakfast is very good and is served in a beautiful atmosphere. Saffron restaurant is also very good. Japanese restaurant was so-so. Great atmosphere but food was "tasteless" I would rate it a C+ The Italian restaurant was the worst and I would rate it a D. I know Italian food...the eggplant parmigiana was not good at all as an example.

Excellent stay and we were well looked after by the superb manager (Salah) and his team. An initial issue with an older villa was rapidly and sympathetically resolved.

The staff really stood out—super friendly and attentive without being over-the-top. Room was spotless too, and I loved the quick access to the pool for a morning swim.
