• Tolire Lake located at the base of Mt Gamalama, on the island of Ternate, North Maluku Province. The magnificent blue volcanic lake comprises of two lakes which are Tolire Lamo, The Greater Tolire Lake, and TolireIci, the Small Tolire. The two lakes are roughly 200 meters apart. Besides its almost perfectly round shape, The Great Lake changes its colours with the seasons, from a bright blue during the summer, to a dark green or brown during the rainy season. Tolire Lake which spans about 5 hectares, located about 50 meters below the lip of the crater. The lake is home to many birds and fish species. Take a relaxing stroll from atop the crater to enjoy the beautiful panoramic view to spend your time in Tolire. The old folks believe that the lake is inhabited and guarded by invisible crocodiles, measuring a dozen meters in length, as well as an even larger, white crocodile, which only occasionally makes an appearance.
• The Sultan of Ternate Kedaton Museum is a centre that preserves and exhibits the royal legacy of the Sultanate of Ternate. Initially, the building was built by Sultan Muhammad Ali in 1813 as a palace for the Sultan. The beautiful architecture in the shape of an octagon and covers an area of 1,500 square meters was designed by a Chinese architect. The building sits atop a hill of lime trees which is shaped like a lion couchant, his face towards the sea and his back to the majestic Mt Gamalama. The museum is just 3.5 km away from Sultan Babullah Airport.
• Tidore Mountain or famously known by North Maluku People as Kie Matubu is the highest point in North Maluku. Standing about 1730 meters above the sea level, you can enjoy the stunning view of Maitara Island, Ternate Island, Hiri Island, Halmahera Island, Mare Island, Moti Island, Makian Island and else from the top of the mountain.
