You can also watch the seasoned surfers surf expertly from the three-story view deck at the end of the sidewalk. You can also wait for the sunrise here as well as savor the moment as you watch the beautiful spectacle that is sunset.


2. Magpupungko Rock Pools -Another well-known tourist destination on the island of Siargao is the Magpupungko Rock Pools, which affords revelers chance to take a dip in the crystal-clear waters when you get there at the right time. The rock pools only appear at certain times, mainly when the tide is low. Visitors are advised always to check the tide schedule as it changes daily. The Tock Pools is about 45-minute drive from General Luna. You can join a group tour or rent a motorcycle and drive to the Rock Pools. Entrance to the Rock Pools will cost PSP 50 per person while parking fee is PSP 20 per vehicle.


3. Sugba Lagoon -Another popular attraction on the island is Sugba Lagoon. It is located at the northwestern portion of the island. The jumping-off point is the town of Del Carmen, which is about a two-hour drive from General Luna. There are many ways you can explore the lagoon — by renting canoes, bamboo rafts, and paddle boards and by snorkeling. There’s a two-layer docking area or rest area where you can also rent a table for PSP 50. One of the highlights here is jumping off the diving platform into the clear turquoise waters. Travelers can also join a group tour. Tour operators and some resorts offer this tour. The rate is around PSP 2000 per person inclusive of lunch, transportation, and entrance. For those interested to head there on their own can hire a van (which fits up to 12 people) for PSP 3000/day or rent a motorcycle for PSP 350 – 500/day inclusive gas. From there, travelers will be required to register at the local port authority and charter a boat. The average boat rate is PSP 1600 for six people. The travel time from the port to the lagoon is approximately one hour.
