Tuguegarao City is a city located in Cagayan Province. This city is well-known for its unique humid temperature. Founded on 9th May 1604, it occupies around 145 square kilometers of an area. This city also has a population of 115,105 making it the biggest city in Cagayan Valley. Tuguegarao was declared as the capital and seat of the regional government of Cagayan Valley in 1975 is the region's geographic center with adequate facilities and amenities needed. Multistory buildings were constructed in the poblacion greatly changing Tuguegarao's skyline in the 1980s and 1990s. Currently, it is known as the Pavvurulun Afi Festival, a fire-themed festival.
