Crowne Plaza KITCHENER-WATERLOO by IHG

The hotel is not on King Street but on Benton street. Trying to find the hotel entrance to check in was very confusing. The entire hotel reeks of chlorine, I wanted to have dinner at the hotel restaurant and couldn’t stay there cause of the smell. The shared room I was given didn’t block out any noise from the room next door which was very loud all evening. The thermostat was all over the place. I completely froze on my first night and on the second night even though it was set to the same temperature it was extremely hot. While it was nice of the hotel to call my room at 9:30pm to try to offer an upgrade it woke me out of my sleep and completely disrupted my night.

Room was clean and spacious. Modern, with comfortable beds. Room had a microwave and mini fridge. Kids enjoyed the pool, although there was a swimming lesson running at the same time which limited the amount of space my kids had to swim. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. There was a good variety of foods available.

The restaurant staff were amazing! We woke up late for my daughter's gymnastics competition and they were so accommodating with sending us some breakfast to take on the road and filling my daughter's water bottle. They went above and beyond and it was so appreciated!!

Great location. Clean and very friendly staff. Lobby and main areas modern and bright, the rooms are in good condition with comfy beds. Price was about right(we booked at a discount through app). Regular rates would feel slightly overpriced to me. Did not eat in the restaurant but it looked busy, so I’m assuming it’s ok. Would stay there again.

Room was cramped and noisy. The hotel was not at all busy but we were given a room underneath the laundry. It was terribly noisy in the morning fortunately we had to get up early otherwise the noise from the laundry machines would have awoken us. Hallways were quite cool.

The room was clean and comfortable. Tge staff were helpful but didnt seem too enthusiastic about helping. They were a little meh in terms of their customer service. Breakfast was not included which was fine, had plans with family anyways for bruncb

Great staff and great room no complaints at all

The property failed to let me know, or advertise, that they were under construction. Very loud construction noise started at 8 am. I called the reception twice - at first,they claimed not to know about it, then they tried to downplay it. One of the worse client interaction - they were not even apologetic.

Clean room, comfy beds. Staff were very helpful when any problem arose and were also friendly. Close to shops and dining. We will be staying again at this hotel. If your looking for budget friendly hotel that is comfy, friendly and clean this is your hotel.

Very central to downtown Kitchener. Staff and service are excellennt and the Aqua Lounge has amazing food, service and excellent value.

Shower head was encrusted and spraying up to the ceiling and over the wall, couldn't change the settings. Shower handle was not clean, lime buildup on the under side of the handle.

Staff and breakfast was excellent. The place needs a major upgrade with old carpet, doors, windows, etc.. The water in the bathtub did not drain. The clock was set to the wrong time. The remote for the TV was impossible to figure out and for all this cost us $250 a night Canadian. This was one of the best choices in Kitchener. Sad.

We really enjoyed our stay. The accessible room really wasn’t accessible. Grab bar behind toilet which makes it useless. Grab bar on far side of shower, again making it useless to get it. Helpful to get out for someone that likes to have a bath but isn’t disabled. No way for a wheelchair user to actually get out of the room on their own as no way to manipulate the door in the narrow hallway and it swings shut super quick. Didn’t try the pool. Wish we did. The breakfast was great with fresh to order crepes and omelettes. Husband said coffee was really good. Sheets were very nice. Not the best bed I’ve ever slept on but it wasn’t bad either. Quiet! So quiet. Was great.

stay at this hotel every time I visit Kitchener. It’s a good, reliable place with comfortable premium rooms — I recommend upgrading, because the regular rooms are a bit small. The breakfast is very good, with plenty of options, and the covered parking is a big plus, especially in bad weather. Overall, a solid and convenient hotel that I always use when I’m in Kitchener.

Staff was very courteous and helpful. The room was very clean and we enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant.
