Lovely room at a very good price

Shower wasn't very hot, and room was being heated by an electric heater instead of central heating so it made the room feel either stuffy or cold and the bathroom freezing.

View of castle is nice plus the area is all walkable to nearby shops and pubs. Room was small. Bed was a full. Can’t fit a bigger bed with the room size. Mattress was old, hard, and springy. No heat in room. They set up an old space heater which barely kept room warm as long as bathroom door was closed. Price is too much for an overnight.

This hotel is on a great location, many shops and places to eat closeby and opposite the castle, our room looked into the castle. Decor is a bit dated now, room was spacious.

No heating! Headboard collapsed, bathroom lights not working, I need compensation which the hotel is not accepting?

Upon arrival reception worker couldn’t speak good English, no car park and was expected to walk half a mile for parking. Received room key where the room key envelope had been reused many times! Room 104 was not the room I booked, tiny room with a bed desk and chair. Small window! Decided to rebook to a hotel down the road. Was not happy with the condition or service of the hotel. Requesting a refund!

Great location, especially if you book a castle view room but this is the only positive. Booked a castle view and was given a rear facing room, reception changed this to a 2nd floor castle view room but the room wasn't prepared, we walked into an unmade bed and unclean room. Back to reception and they gave us the 'best room' which had a great view but was freezing cold, windows are single glazed and draughty. Hot tap in the bathroom did not work at all, had to use the one in the bath and there was no hairdryer.

No warning that the car park entrance was completely blocked. We had to park elsewhere. Our mobility problems made the very hard

Lovely staff but shabby hotel. We loved the location but the room was very tired. Good price so we were satisfied. The staff were all kind and helpful.

The Hotel is quite tired in terms of amenities. The room looked really nice when we checked in (Traditional English Vibe), huge bathroom, tall ceilings. However, The bath didnt run properly, there was a continually leaking tap which disturbed our sleep, the sink pipes made a really high pitched squeak until we ran the tap for a bit (this was throughout the whole night). The shower is absolutely huge but the shower head is a single, fixed one which jetted water at a completely unusable angle (also annoying for women wanting to keep their hair dry). The double bed was two singles bumped together and the curtains didnt close properly so there was blinding light from quite an early hour. Having said this, the staff were excellent prior to our arrival and we quite easily arranged for a late check out at no extra cost. We only stayed for 1 night so didnt bother to complain or ask for an alternative room but I definitely wouldnt stay there again for the cost of a room. It's a great central location for wandering around Windsor but that's about all.

This is a beautiful looking hotel in prime position for the castle, town and river. My room had a fantastic view of the castle, but was a little tired. The bathroom was in a similar condition with a leaking tap. Unfortunately the hotel is very noisy and you can hear people moving around. I could also hear various bathroom extractor fans which were very loud.

Clean and tidy room warm shower and comfy bed

The communal areas of the hotel were okay and clean, but the room I was given was VERY tired and dated and very much overdue in terms of redecorating, needing new flooring and needing new bathroom fittings. The bed was not the greatest and seemed to have a spring or piece of metal sticking through the mattress at the end, which I kept catching my feet on. (Painfully!)

Amazing location right opposite Windsor castle, price was good. But room very basic and some of the repairs were terrible.

A very good, central Windsor location opposite Windsor Castle. Entrance was not very apparent as a Hotel Entrance. Check In was OK but basic. The rooms are in need of a major renovation, whilst acceptable needed a lot of repair and modernisation e.g. worn out carpets, paintwork badly damaged, bathroom in poor condition although good shower . The bed was just adequate as a double, but small. Wi-Fi was good, TV good size and OK if you could work out the channels.
