So sad to see this grand old hotel in such a sorry sate. It should not be open for bookings. Filthy bathroom with ancient fittings neither bath nor retained water. Zero facilities and broken lift which has been broken months I had to carry one ladies bags to her room as she could not and no staff to help. It is clear the owners are just taking money as long as they can putting nothing in until it’s inevitable closure. Do not book here location does not compensate for dire state.

I reguarly stay here before returning home flying from Terminal 5,it is only 20 minutes in a taxi. The Hotel is extremely well located and all of the Staff are always very helpful

This is a fantastic location and a beautiful building but the hotel is in need of a facelift and some tlc.

The only issue I had was the room numbers going up the stairs where not correct and I did address this with the staff

The location couldn't be better, right opposite the castle. The building is old and interesting, but the plumbing is very loud!

The hotel looks nice from the outside but when you go in into your room carpet had stains, bathroom smelled awful, the pictures they showed on the rooms when you booked don't look nothing like when you see it on person. Staff its nice but the rooms are not .old dirty and creepy. The only nice thing is the you can see the windsor castle from the window because the balcony looks old and unsteady wont step on it at all. Windows didn't shut closed and no central heat you had to plug electrial heaters. Won't be staying there again.

No breakfast available. The lift does not work. Bath water only warm not hot. Staff were polite and helpful. Brilliant positioning within the town.

Terrible poorly kept property. Elevator down for 1 week. Had to carry luggage up 3 floors. Key cards didn’t work multiple times. Carpet from Victoria. Era.

The location was perfect. Overlooking Windsor castle & right in the heart of the town centre. The outside of the property was aesthetically pleasing, however the inside was a completely different story. Reception was tucked away almost under the stairs, not very open or welcoming, the decor was dated & tired, worn carpets on the stairs & the decor was in much need of updating. The lift was not working & from all accounts hadn't been for some time. A worker took our bags to our room (3 adults sharing) he had a very strong smell of B.O which lingered long after he had left. The room was quite large with 3 windows, however 1 window would not close & had to be wedged with a spoon. As the room was cold, obviously the central heating wasn't functioning as we had x2 oilf filled radiators. We had a double bed & a pull out settee bed, both were lumpy, worn & not particularly comfortable, the pillows certainly weren't hotel pillows as they took were hard & lumpy. The room didn't smell fresh either, very musty & in much need of a decent clean as there was rubbish under the wardrobe & bed. Lovely big bathroom with a bath & a shower ( no handle on the inside of the shower door) We had a kettle but no milk or tea bags, just a couple of coffee sachets. The TV was not tuned in. They didn't provide a service to make the beds & provide fresh towels, we had to ask for those & make our own beds. It was very cheap to stay there but wouldn't stay again, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for

First impressions at reception and check in were excellent. Room was big and very clean. French doors had gaps and let in cold and noise and boy was it noisy from 3pm to 2am it was non stop, motorbikes, car horns and people shouting and screaming. 6am started again with lorries and dustbins being emptied. Perfect location for all shops and tourist attractions but if you want a good nights sleep forget it.

Esta en una buena ubicación, el staff es muy atento y amable. El unico detalle son las condiciones de la propiedad, el elevador descompuesto, la calefacción del cuarto no sirve y las ventanas no cierran bien estan dañadas. El personal fue super amable; subieron las maletas al cuarto y nos brindaron cobijas extras!!!

Dirty room

Perfect location for visiting Windsor. We paid for a castle view and wow it was 100% worth it. Stunning views. Perfect people watching spot. Perfect for watching the changing of the guards.

Communal areas are in need of investment. Our room was clean but dated. Bathroom and shower were refurbished and good. There is no food or drinks served so had to go out for breakfast and meals. Location is the main reason you would stay being central in Windsor right opposite the Castle entrance and really close to the station. The price to stay is cheap so you do get what you pay for.
